Oysters in Braintree

Awful experience tonight. Ordered through Deliveroo 30/40 minutes later got a notification saying it’s been delivered so we called up and got told “it left 2 minutes ago” half hour after that call we called again “oh It’s in the way I promise”. Absolutely shocking! Now 2 hours after first placing the order we cancelled and got from McDonald’s that arrived within 20 minutes

Lovely food, friendly staff, recomend their chips, skinless haddock and ribs 🙂

We ate in the restaurant part. The service was really good, so friendly. The fish and chips perfect, crispy and fresh.

The best fish and chips in the area. Staff are always friendly. Never go anywhere else.

Honestly my favourite place to eat I get excited when my other half says let's order food aha. Best fish ever love how golder and crispy the batter is could not ask for more.

Best fish & chips ever! Never greasy and fish is always so fresh. Pies also good. Never had anything but good food from here. Staff are lovely, really friendly and polite.

Had to order through deliveroo paid £9.72 for a chicken kebab .that on the menu came with chips but didn't . Bun with burgers dry . £33 for a kebab 2 burgers , meduim chips and cheesy chips very disappointed .

The food is exceptional. You absolutely pay for what you get and it is 100% worth it here.Chips are banging - it’s surprising how many chippies fail to get the chips right - every time I’ve ordered the chips are hot, and excellent quality.We only order cod and chips but the cod, again, is top tier flavour, and the batter is crisp and even, no stodgy bits like some chip shops.Tonight I ordered on Deliveroo - forgot to add on a bottle of vinegar (which if I had to eat it without vinegar it just wouldn’t be the same) called the shop and explained I’d forgot to add it on and asked how can I go about paying for it etc - the guy on the phone spoke to the manager and said they will add a bottle to the order and just pay for it when I’m next near the shop which I will do - little touches/a show of trust in customers is rare and really refreshing, great customer service.I will never order fish and chips in Braintree from anywhere else.

This was my first time visiting the Oysters although I have had a delivery before. The food is fresh and perfectly cooked (not greasy but not too dry), and there is an extensive menu. Very good.
