Siam Thai. Restaurant in Braintree

Friendly family thai food reputabley very authentic I can't vouch for that personally as I've never been to Thailand. But I love the textures & flavours. Think I could eat there every night. not a desire to avoid mrs wifey only to give her a break every now and then xx

I got takeaway and I got the satay chicken and it was completely raw. I feel sick. Like how could u serve that out to someone. It couldn't have been cooking or more than a minute as the was a small sliver of cooked meat and the rest a pink. So gross.

We stumbled upon Siam Thai whilst walking through Braintree looking for somewhere to have dinner. The restaurant is tiny but welcoming and had a very authentic Thai atmosphere. When we sat at our table it became apparent that everyone else in there appeared to be regular customers. The service was brilliant, attentive but not over powering. The food was divine, a perfect match of flavours and the portions were exactly the right size. I can't wait to eat there again

Horrible customer service as others have said!! Do not go here!The seafood also gave me an upset stomach. Please avoid!! I wish I had read the other reviews before ordering.Not to mention the food is terribly overpriced & really small portions are given.

Our first time ordering from Siam Thai and wow!!!! Undoubtedly the best take away we have had around here. It was so clean and fresh and piping hot! I had sea bass in this creamy coconut sauce with peppers and runner beans and it was just soooooo clean and delicious! My partner had Thai green curry and kings prawns and could not fault it either. I hope it doesn’t disappoint next time round as we will sure be ordering again! Thank you!

I visited Siam Thai yesterday for my bday. We booked over the phone and they explained toUs regarding Covid 19 rules, once we walked in really friendly staff welcomed us and showed us to the table, they had another 2 tables with customers but all with the rules of social distance. The food was amazing and really good and fresh quality, portions were just perfect. Was nice that they also suggested which are the nicest typical dishes and we decided to to for that; you could taste that everything was fresh...Definitely recommend this restaurant :)

Pleasant enough little restaurant but unfortunately another disappointing visit with the food. This time I had the jungle curry which I don’t recommend, it was tasteless and very watery like soup, and meant to be quite spicy but wasn’t. Coconut rice didn’t taste of coconut at all. Also dislike places automatically adding service charge.

Ordered at 18:00 Saturday for a slot at 19:00 via just eatChecked delivery status at 19:15 and this showed it was out for delivery.At 19:40 when still not delivered phoned Siam who said they had not even started the order and I got the impression that had I not phoned they would not have done anything about my order.They did not apologise and said we would get our order in 30 minutes.Order was delivered at 20:40 ie 1 hour 40 minutes late.The order cost 68 pounds and I expected a better service and some sort of appology/discount.If the food had turned up on time I would have given a 4 star ratting although I think the food is overpriced.

I've tried this place 3 times over the last 18 months, 1st time was all good.2nd time I went to get takeaway with a group friends and the lady in there said they did not accept cards so I walked to the cash machine came back and paid cash. Whilst waiting for our order I saw that a couple that were dining in paid by card which was a bit annoying.3rd visit was a collection via just eat. Food took 25 minutes longer than advertised, they then tried to cancel the order whilst I was there to bypass JustEat but they were unable to. Once I'd left I realised I had been shortchanged, could have been an innocent mistake but I doubt it.

We ordered a takeaway 2 hours before opening via JustEat. One hour after they opened they call me and say they can’t deliver now and that we have to either wait another 1,5h or they cancel and we pick it up and pay less. Portions are small, they don’t come with rice and are expensive. Very disappointed, that was the first and last time I ordered in Siam Thai Restaurant
