Spa Road Fish & Chip Shop in Braintree

I went here when I was a kidI was too sore to remember why or what was going on. But the food was a juicy treatLol I'm dog 🐕

Placed an order to be delivered the Chinese lady said ain't busy be 20 minutes was like cool ok then an hour later went by and rung back to see where my food was. She didn't understand what I was saying and became rude as well as the other staff. She said one minute it's on the way then it will be 10 minutes then it will be later. There was no straight answer to as where my food was obviously she took my order and didn't make it. It was now 9pm and she kept saying be later then when I said look we don't want the food now cancel the order she became very rude and started shouting down the phone at me. I had to be firm with her and say look we don't want it now calcel the order never go there again they need.to work on there customer service. Only gave one star coz had to to write a review

Picked up big order for the White Notley Carpet Bowls Club, had a lovely meal 14 people food very good , hot and already to collect 7.10pm as arranged 👌

Ordered cod and chips chips good fish was cooked nicely but batter wasnt crispy and not quite cooked sorry but batter is supposed to be crispy

My daughter went into the fish and chip shop. Asked for a receipt and they were very rude. When she got a receipt they had over charged her . You need to review your customer service. This place is unwelcoming and a horrible place to go.

I can't praise the quality of the fish and chips at.this joint enough! The chips are cooked just right leaving them juicy and soft and you get the fish with a nice crispy batter. The portions are very generous and all served with a pleasant smile by the efficient but diminutive girl behind the counter. Keep it up Spa!!!

Don't go here food is terrible. Everything is fried within an inch of its life. I used this place all the time but never again. Shocking. Had to throw in bin.

My 1st go here. Very polite staff. Normal chip shop chips. Cod had some nice batter (some places getting TOO healthy nowadays) LARGE cod 😋
