TGI Friday's in Braintree

Very disappointed. The burger rolls were like rock cakes. Clearly not in date. Chips were mainly rotten. Toilet facilities looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. Did not feel comfortable eating here. Wont be returning. I hope no one else has experienced this there.

Love the waitress energy, lovely customer service. Meal was hot on serving.

Nice easy place to eat, service was good and responsive (thanks Saffron), food was OK time and tasting good. Dessert was chocolate fudge cake which was a great portion so very happy! I guess the most annoying bit, was being on a bench seat where the back rest moved and jolted to the movements made on the other side...... other than that it was good to kick back and eat simple.

Our table for 10 people was booked for 8pm and we weren’t seated until nearly 9pm. No one took our order for another 30-45 minutes. Food didn’t arrive until nearly 10pm. Out of 10 meals, 3 were hot but had other issues, the other 7 meals were cold and some things missing / incorrect. About 60% of the food went back which is obviously a massive waste of money and resources - a lot of what was eaten was purely because we were so hungry waiting for so long! It was my 21st birthday so the staff did their usual happy birthday song and quite literally ran off as soon as they were done, looked completely miserable and I understand that they were probably tired but it’s not what we expect. We dealt with two different managers as they swapped (after closing time?) and managed to get a decent amount of money off our bill. We didn’t leave until gone 11pm. We also encountered rude bar and waiting staff, even one of the managers tried to argue and lie to us. The only positive thing I can say is our waitress, bless her heart, was lovely and tried her best, I wish I caught her name as I would like to praise her. We read other reviews of similar issues on the same day so we know it wasn’t a one off - until they improve I definitely would NOT recommend, at least certainly not for a special occasion.

Very dissatisfied with the cleanliness of TGI Fridays when we visited this Sunday. Thick layer of dust all over banister and the motorbike by the front door. Food was okay but not worth the money. Majority of the staff appeared like they didn’t really want to be there, slow services, long time to be seated when there was plenty of tables free. Seats in the booths backed onto another tables booth, every time they went for a bite of there burger I rocked backwards. Chairs could do with being reinforced or better secured to the base, this was surprisingly irritating. Toilets weren’t particularly clean either. Makes me question the cleanliness of the entire establishment. Shocked how this place has a 5* hygiene rating. I will not be returning.

This is my second time coming to TGIF BRAINTREE and i must say i regret coming again. The ribs is nothing compared to TGIF WESTFIELD. Ribs were very dry and not nice at all. They didn't seem to have most of the cocktails and wines available. I ordered for strawberry daiquiri and it was rubbish, margarita came full of salt. I love TGIF but i don't know what braintree is doing. I will not recommend as its a total waste of money and time. I do understand that 31st nights are busy but i dont expect to be fed with chips that looks like someones left over.

Good decor, excellent staff. Enjoyed the food, very tasty. Had classic ribs, very tender.

Went for Lunch when visiting Braintree Freeport and found the food and service really good. I had the glazed burger and it was really nice, liked the sauce that came with it. Kids meals good do feel these should come with a drink for the price but they were a good size and kids really enjoyed them. Overall though a really nice meal and would go again.

The food first off was absolutely amazing!This is the first and I'm sure it won't be the last time I'm going here!The jack Daniels signature sauce was delicious absolutely loved it! I couldn't get enough of it, the staff were lovely had a member of staff bring me a pot of the jack Daniels sauce so I could try it first before ordering my meal! Table service was brilliant I had just finished my drink and without even asking it was refilled for me by the staff by then just looking at my table!This was because it was endless drink btw! We also had the strawberry mocktail and it was so good full of flavour and it was only £4 for a massive glass!I had the chicken and my girlfriend had the cheese burger and it was the best / most juicy burger we have ever tasted definitely a 10/10 burger, I had the Fridays Chicken and it was brilliant would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to try and see what tgi Fridays is all about! The restaurant it's self looked super cool with mad photos and things like motorcycles around and it just felt like a really welcoming place, would really to thank Rafab for the Amazing table service and the kitchen staff for the amazing food! Will definitely be back soon!

I had a gluten free chicken club sandwich. While the chicken tasted fine and the sweet potato fries were very tasty, the gluten free bun was horrible. It was very dry. It felt like it was almost stale. Not sure why TGI doesn't use gluten free brioche buns? That would be a far better option. Also they were out of stock of other options when it came to certain drinks and desserts. The one thing I can praise is the service. Staff are polite and helpful.
