The Fountain House in Braintree

Took 2hrs to arrive which I wouldn't have minded if the food was edible. The sweet and sour prawn balls were old and full of raw dough. The sweet chili chicken didn't have any sauce so just tasted like old oil. Absolutely disgusting.

Hi, thank you for the delivery. I just want to let you know that I am quite disappointed, I am not normally critical and you have always given us great food but the nasai goreng has no flavour and the wandering dragon is equally lacking any flavour and just has very little watery sauce. I don't believe in tainting your business with bad reviews off one experience but I very much hope your chef is just having an off day.

Zero stars,Ordered a meal on my birthday for £40 and the food was absolutely disgusting. All sauces are just water or vinegar, not plum sauce or sweet and sour sauce like we ordered.Hands down the worst chinese I have ever tasted.I then called the restaurant to express my concerns for the food and was told that it is not a shoe shop or clothes shop so I am unable to get a refund even though we haven't eaten it. It was also explained to me that this is just how they make it.

I had an order and was told the waiting time was 90 mins, I phoned 20 mins after placing the order to confirm that it had been received their end and the gentleman confirmed it had been and was in the kitchen cooking. I then phoned at 1hr 45mins to be told it was still in the kitchen and will be another 45 mins. It turned up 1 hr later and had missing items. I called about the missing items and was told that I couldn’t have these items delivered to me due to driver shortages so was told I would get a refund. I have had nothing since. This wasn’t a small order either, it was around £65 for a family so really not acceptable! Can someone please contact me to discuss this urgently as I am not happy with this. I look forward to getting a response from you.

I ordered from here today, 30th November 2021I called them to discuss my disappointment. The food tasted like it was reheated ( I could be wrong) the sweet chilli beef was lumpy and not even in a sauce. The chicken chiew main was hot and then was cold. Which makes me think it was reheated. Disappointment in customer service on the phone. They didn't care and rushed me off the phone. Won't be ordering ever again. £19 in the bin

The best food in Braintree.We had tasty big portions of Singapore noodles.Really enjoyed.Quick delivery,nice service.Really aprecciated.

Pathetic customer service , ordered through Deliveroo, order want delivered within 2 hours, we called them and they lied twice saying it was out for delivery in 15 minutes , 2 times . We called them a final time and they said that it hadn’t even been cooked !! Do not try and get food from them!

Normally love the place, but this time I got food poisoning! Was not a huge issue, as these things happen, however the whole company is a joke, the bloke who manages it, was extremely ignorant and in fact claimed “it to be unbelievable, especially on a busy day” interesting ... Makes you question they’re hygiene standards heavily! Looking forward to seeing this place close now... Karma lol

Its been 2 hours and 10 minutes waiting time now won't answer phone. So still no idea if its comingWill never use again. Shame as the food is normally nice. STAY AWAY IF YOUR FEELING HUNGRY. Finally arrived 2.5 hours Just eat said driver was stuck in heavy traffic 8pm in the middle of a lock down Bull sh__t

Quick delivery, unfortunately that was the only good thing. I ordered chips and smoked shredded chicken. Chips were thin crispy and salty tasted almost reheated as they were so crispy and the chicken was dry and small. It was extremely disappointing. Won’t be ordering from here again.
