Came across this little gem yesterday and stopped for lunch. We had the chicken and chorizo sandwich which also came with chips. Bloody amazing flavours and it was absolutely delicious. The barman was so nice, welcoming and friendly. Lovely decor and outside seating area. Will definitely be returning for dinner and drinks. Thank you

A friend and I visited at 1pm today and my friend had been here before (hence re-visit). Food was very well presented and good amount of food (infact too much for me). They also presented me with a cheesecake as it had been my birthday in the week thanks to my friend. Well worth visiting and bar staff very helpful and friendly.

We came here for my Uncles wake and it was a shambles... it can all be summarised in that the owners had left their staff to fend for themselves whilst they went on last minute holiday to Pathos leaving their premises without a license holder, and leaving just kitchen staff to run a pub with 2 wakes in it.My aunt had booked this reservation for 25 people. The funeral was at 10:30 just up the road and we so arrived around 11:30. When we entered we found that there was another wake already going on at the same time and they also had around 25 people. There was only 1 member of staff on the bar to serve all the guests, whom under the pressure divulged that she was actually kitchen staff and her partner was the chef who was currently in the kitchen and they were the only 2 people working on during our wakes. She stated that she had not had a day off in over 4 weeks. So although it was a shambles what were we to do in the moment of the wake, we only had this poor girl behind the bar to talk to.There were multiple issue with how that day went for our family and I can only image the other wake felt the same issues.- No tea and coffee out waiting for us as arranged. In fact there was a cupboard around the corner with a hot water tank switched off, with no tea or coffee to help ourselves.- waited an hour before any of the buffet was brought out for us- we requested in the booking that it all be under one tab- 1 person serving on the bar- coca cola was gone off- the draft drinks stopped working altogther- food was brought out late and staggered- no cuttlery or plates brought out for food- no napkins given to us- sandwiches were not buttered- mini sausages were a mixture or raw and cooked (see images)- nothing to pick the food up with- not enough staff members- kitchen staff wearing flipflopsNow all of this was going on and we literally had no one to complain to because poor girl behind the bar was in tears at this point trying to keep it together. We approached her when we left and when we asked whom the license holder was on premises she told us the owner is the license holder. Being that he was not on premises the pub was serving drink illegally during our wake. I had the right mind to call the police, but being that the lady behind the bar told me there was a wake later in the afternoon she still had to get through, I hadn't the heart to ruin someone elses wake.I do not recommend this pub under it's current management. It appears their holiday was more important than their business & staff. More importantly they showed no morals in respect to hosting sensitive gatherings such as wakes.

Boring! Very Mediocre food. Cider lines tasted like they need a clean, smelt like vinegar. Presentation of the roast was poor. Staff were okay at best

A great pub.Stylish interior, large outdoor garden and event barn for private bookings.Great pub menu, all cooked from scratch. Elliott is a rapidly developing chef.Very friendly, dog welcoming venue.

Didn't hate it - don't know what it was like because it was closed!! Even though on their website it had said it was open!! Arranged to meet friends there but found another pub instead and had a fabulous time.

We had a really lovely lunch that was a bargain as there was filming going on. The lasagne was so nice. Great service a lovely atmosphere.

Disappointing experience. Table for 6. Food was slow to come out once ordered. Some veg. undercooked, and given it was a long time coming you'd expect the food to be piping hot, but was not the case. They need to get the food out of the kitchen much quicker which would help with both issues relating to waiting time and food heat when served. Hope they get issues sorted before next visit and will check reviews before coming again.

Just had family Sunday lunch. Couldn’t fault the food or the service. Catered for Vegetarian members of the family too! We will certainly be back very soon!

We went back to this pub on New Year's eve after not having been there for a while. It wasn't very busy as it has been in the past. We got to know some new people which was nice. We were also included in the singing, dancing and choosing songs to sing and dance to.We had a lovely meal which l couldn't eat all of it. Saw the New Year in and stayed to the wee small hours. Very pleasant.
