Good selection of drinks, varied menu, well cooked and nicely presented food. Polite and friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Clean toilets, plenty of parking

The food is EXCELLENT (my partner said the roast beef was the best pub roast he'd ever had) and the staff are very welcoming. It's in a lovely spot as well, lots of nice walking nearby.

Went to the Green Man last night for an anniversary meal. The steak was amazing, full of flavour and melted in my mouth! Emma served us and was very attentive, professional and had the whole dining room running beautifully. I can’t recommend this pub enough, a really gem and great dining experience

This was our first visit but we plan to go back again! Friendly welcome and very attentive staff. Food was ordered and arrived very promptly, very generous portions and high quality. Excellent value for money, cannot recommend highly enough!

We met our friends here for a 60th birthday dinner celebration. My wife has an allergy to Gluten so only eats GF meals which the chef here assured us that its no problem.And it wasn't. The food was spot on, not sure about others with negative reviews?, the wife's meal (she's not backward at coming forward about complaining) loved her meal. When the birthday cake came out, everyone in the room sang Happy Birthday...Great food, helpful staff reasonable prices for great food.Definitely will be going back for other special occasions....

Really brilliant meal today. Used a Groupon bought as a gift.This place is wonderful, great food, hugely accommodating and very friendly.I would recommend everyone try it for themselves!

Staff absolutely lovely and we were served promptly without having to wait long for food either. No vegan choices unfortunately but we worked around it by asking for our mains without cheese. Only one starter option for us which was soup. Not a problem, it tasted nice but quite a small amount in the bowl. Place seemed popular. Maybe could do with a refurb. As I said, lovely staff. They coped well with how busy they were.

Very nice food, portion size was very generous and the staff were nice and friendly. I had the fish and chips which was delicious and my husband had the chilli chicken which was huge! Would definitely recommend and shall go back. My only criticism was that the room was cold.

Awesome beer garden,lovely staff and biker friendly both pedal and motor driven. Best ploughman's in Essex.

Went for a Sunday lunch at this pub and enjoyed the sun in the secluded garden with picnic tables&benches. There is a little playground for children which is great. Food was delicious and we felt so full afterwards! We had a main and a dessert each and kids menu for £4.95, which included a scoop of ice-cream. All in all a great experience. Definitely recommend.
