The Old Pottery Kiln in Braintree

I came in the other day with my mum for some lunch where i was served by the lovely Paige, The customer service from her was really professional and of the staff was so lovely. And the food was 10/10. Would 100% come back again.

Today we celebrated my Daughters Christening and we couldn’t have gone to a better place. The staff were brilliant from start to finish and the food was excellent. The buffet we paid for, we definitely got more than we were expecting, and everyone commented on how good it was! If you’re looking for somewhere to have a celebration then this is the place - we will absolutely be back again! X

The restaurant and park areas are very clean, our toddler loved the play park area. The food was good and fairly reasonably priced. What let this place down was the staff, they were all very friendly but every one of our orders (drinks, mains, desserts) were either missing something or were incorrect. Everything was resolved with very little fuss but frustrating when we had to keep asking for the missing items or swapping incorrect orders.

The two waiters that served my friend and I were so friendly and attentive. Not visited for couple of years due to food being naff but was so glad I decided to come back. Food and service lovely, definitely improved 💯

Staff were brilliant. Nothing too much trouble. It looked clean and tidy which was ace. Love the pool table and the service was great - will be back!

This was the second time I visited within 10 days and yet again they didn't have the meal I asked for which was very disappointing. If something is nolonger on the menu then revise them, but if that particular meal is popular then stock more of it. The staff were very pleasant.

Never seen food so expensive for a mediocre, chavvy boring pub. Food portions were very small for the price... couldn't actually believe it! Food wasn't even hot, few chips on the plate... rather eat at Wetherspoons... much nicer plus you get a drink! £14 for a tiny chicken burger, handful of chips and 2 onion rings... it was 2 for 1, but if you're on your own, works out expensive. Beer choice terrible and £5 a pint. Staff were pleasant enough... but I wouldn't recommend this place at all, unfortunately 😕

Had food and drinks, service was 10/10 food was lovely, hot and cooked to perfection. High five to the new chef. Would definitely recommend 👌

Great NYE Party! Buffet was lovely and not too filling, Atmosphere was so nice and a lovely event and the live singer was great. Well done to the new Manager. Happy 2022.

We stopped here on the way home, and it turned out to be a great choice. The staff were super friendly and really helpful. The food was great and even the 241 deal works on a Saturday (I never even asked because I didn’t think it would be on a weekend). The food was outstanding in presentation and taste, people may complain about it being a chain but i found everything great, especially after the couple of years we have all had.I must say thank you to the staff for making us so welcome
