Fabulous. Achieves the four pillars of B&B excellence. Lovely cosy pub with log burners; very friendly staff and host; spacious, quality accomodation with expansive views (not saying which room because I'm coming back!!); great reasonably priced food. Loved our stay.

I went there for Sunday lunch with my adult son. He thought it was fantastic and especially enjoyed... actually he especially enjoyed all of it!The menu is not particularly large but I personally see that as a good thing and got the impression that the food is freshly made and not just something heated up. They were very accomodating about my gluten intolerance and for once, I didn't feel like there was nothing I could eat.The prawns in tempura batter (starter) were delicious and we both sort of wished that they wouldn't end. We then had the roast beef, which was nice and rare and came with roast potatoes, carrots, green beans and Yorkshire pudding (not me). And then we both had pudding - (yes I actually got to have a pudding!) a fruit crumble with ice-cream.I came away feeling like I had had enough to eat but not too much.I would definitely go there again.

Lovely dining experience especially after post lockdown. ATe outside on a chilly evening and was offered a complimentary shot of vodka just to "warm us up" 🙂 food was delicious and the staff friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend a visit if nearby.
