Central, quick service, cheap, cheerful and value for money... Lots of room and large open planned venue.

Really good Wetherspoons, a cinema conversion. Welcoming and very comfortable. Nice breakfast here. Friendly staff, talkative and pleasant to all customers, a nice surprise. Enjoyed the brief visit.

Worst steak I have ever had in a Spoons, asked for medium rare and it was basically charred on the outside and raw in the middle, lucky I'm not squeamish so didn't complain, half of it ended up being left anyway as it was inedible fat and grizzle.

Me and my wife had a few drinks and it was very nice. The staff were very friendly also I was born in braintree and it was great to visit after a few months away. Will definitely come back again

Good atmosphere okay food good prices unfortunately won't buy steaks as they are always under done you ask for medium rare you get it rare

The food is good but the venue is so scuffy and in need of a referb it puts you off eating in there. Been to other wetherspoons, witham is lovely but chelmsford also needs referb!

Met friends for a lunchtime get-together. Not impressed really - have been to cleaner establishments (especially the toilets where the floor was awash), tables left with dirty glasses, plates etc., carpets in need of a hoover. But then there were hardly any staff about so, perhaps, the rest not a great surprise. The food was tastless. Will suggest we meet elsewhere next time.

Got taken here for breakfast, was told the food was lovely. However the toasted muffin wasn't toasted, the poached egg overcooked and the mushroom was cold. Getting the attention of staff was impossible

The staff were really cheerful and helpful. The chocolate fudge was to die for. Food set out well. Toilets clean. Place spacious and amicable. Excellent and down to earth prices.
