Lovely pub. Disappointing menu only serving pizza. Not even side salad or chips. Pizza choices 'unique' smoked meat overpowering. However the pub is beautiful. Full of character and lovely log burner. Would happily recommend for a drink

What a wonderful little pub! Such a traditional English pub experience without being over-bearing.Rumour had it, their Pizzas are the business, so we headed up and enjoyed a selection. Well the rumour was accurate, they're really very good - quirky topping selections but it really works.My favourite was probably the Heaty Meaty - really rich. That said, best to avoid the heaty meaty if you have any important meetings the day after, don't say I didn't warn you.

We stayed the night at The Finchingield Lion for a family birthday celebration - and we were so glad to have found it. It's an absolute gem. Gorgeous interiors, wonderful atmosphere, incredibly friendly staff, cosy rooms with very comfy beds - and a seriously delicious pizza menu, with brilliant vegan options. The location is second to none too. We'll definitely be back and we would definitely, definitely recommend this very lovely country pub!

You'll know when you go, quality food and staff. Atmosphere is always met and never needed. Will be back again and again

Great food friendly atmosphere best pint of Guinness

Excellent, well kept ales and the best fresh pizza with smoked meats. Vegan/veggie alternatives also delicious. Three of us shared two pizzas for lunch. Perfect.

Hosts and staff are lovely, pub is amazing.pub is amazingly dexorated. Has to be sen as words do t do it justice. Fine selection of spirits and cask ales.

Visited here for the first time today, had a really great pizza - "The Heaty Meaty" (highly recommended) - whilst sitting in the sunshine in the large pub garden. Lovely, will certainly come here again!

There is parking available.It is a nice atmosphere in the pub with plenty of seating.The menu only comprised of pizzas, but I have to say, these are great pizzas. I fully recommend eating in or taking out.It was also nice to see not only the diverse clientele but that dogs were welcome in the pub too.

We have just found this amazing pub. It's is out of the main popular area of Finchingfield but so worth looking for. They smoke their own prime joints. Obligingly mix and match pizza toppingsSo you can share. The pub is fabulously finished in a quirky way. It is a must if you are in the area.
