Gorgeous food. Fresh, bright flavours. Personable service. Puts other curries in the shade. Happy to order again & again.

This is the takeaway we usually use, but today's meal wasn't as good as normal ... Huge bits of chicken - some of which were tough and chewy. Neither dish had nearly enough sauce, which isn't normally an issue so the meal in general was too dry. Disappointed.

What a joy to have clear, vegan options listed when getting an Indian takeaway. The food was sublime too 😊🌿

The best curry I've ever had. Moved to Essex last year and I invite friends and family over specifically to try it! Very good. Delivers quick and presentation is perfect.

I don't ever leave reviews but the jhaal khofta Kati roll is amazing I got that and chicken tikka/ onion bhajii kata 2 for £10 Mon to Thurs.The chicken one is good but lamb is amazingAlso good pub straight opposite so ask for food in an hour instead of 15-20 mins it takes to cook and go get a couple of pints👍

We have stopped using the Ruby as the last few takeaways we have had lacked in quality. The chicken tikka was dry and tasteless and the quality of the food tastes like its rushed rather than concentrating on the quality of the food which was the very reason we always used to order from the Ruby. I don't know whether its complacency or whether they are trying to get the food as quickly as possible due to the pandemic. Either way the quality isn't what we're used to and no longer order from Ruby

Horrific, second time I’ve had food from this place that was inedible!!The first contained chicken with the texture of wood and this one, well I’m unsure whether they had simply run out of the correct ingredients but my jalfrezi arrived and it was luminous red, I took one bite and not only was my mouth on fire there was an overwhelmingly bitter taste that made me feel sick to my stomach.I called to complain and the most I was offered was a replacement jalfrezi on them next time I call he said he didn’t put any green chillis in he replaced with chilli powder!! That’s right they gave me simply chicken in hot chilli powder to the extent that it was so gut churningly hot and bitter that it was not edible and as I’d tipped over the rest of the food I had, simply offering to replace one dish to make me have to go back there is quite simply not decent.My suggestion is to use Raj Garden not only are the reliably fresh and good but they cover exactly the same area and in all the years I’ve used them they have always been as close to perfect as you can get!

Delicious food as always. We ordered a takeaway for delivery online (really easy) which was on time and the driver was lovely. I will definitely be ordering a takeaway for delivery again. My husband had a dish he hadn’t tried before and thoroughly enjoyed it. I keep looking at the chilli chips which have had some brilliant reviews so I think next time they will have to be added to the order to try. Thank you ‘Ruby’

As an Asian myself I have to say, by far the best curry house I’ve been to! The flavour is perfect with a wide range of dishes and spice levels.The customer service was lovely , the chap Mo dealt with my order with great care and service.The food was delivered promptly and was hot still which is always a bonus!All in all best experience, I will always order from the Ruby!Thank you so much for the great food n deals!

The best Indian Takeaway in Braintree. Perfectly spiced with great range. They also have fantastic vegetarian and vegan selections with online ordering and prompt delivery.
