Toby Carvery, Braintree in Braintree

The meal at the Carvery was very good. Our waitress was Lynn and she was very attentive and helpful. She recommended a larger plate (it was definitely a good idea). Great place to eat if you are on the road to Colchester.

Enjoyed our lunch there on Friday 11.03.22. Food were delicious. Friendly staff Lynn who took care of us.

One of the better locations I think. Always had a good meal here, meats were all good quality and lots of veg and trimmings available too. Excellent value of course. Friendly staff and manager. Shame there isn't an adults only area though, sometimes you get kids running about or being quite loud which isn't the best after a long drive. Still beats KFC or McDonald's of course.

Recently refurbished. Food was good, as usual. Wish the Yorkshire Puddings weren't so huge though. Ridiculous! Takes up to much plate.

Staff was fantastic on the day we went. The atmosphere was outstanding. The food was lovely we went at the beginning of the lunch and the food tasted lovely fresh and there was good choices. Can't wait to go back soon.

We went after my mother's funeral. Lynn the server was caring and professional. The food was amazing. We were too full up to have a pudding which is rare for us.

We come here often. This time we chose NOT to have a carvery, but chose the starters and snacks instead.Beef in yorkie with roast pots @ £4.99 seemed a good deal. It was nice. Could use more gravy (please).Gammon and turkey ciabatta with roasties was lush.Altogether, what a nice snack style meal.

Went for lunch and had a lovely meal. Staff friendly and efficient and the restaurant has just had a spruce up so was spotless.Choice of four meats and the beef was superb. Good choice of sides as well. Great food and great value.Well done Toby.

5* because, our waitress Dee, nothing is too much for her. I would highly recommend it as its has good food friendly atmosphere and very attentive staff... newly refurbished so nice and clean. We'll done x

We stopped off for lunch, on a Sunday afternoon, without a booking. The food was great. Lots of meat and plenty of nice veg. Nice family atmosphere.
