Voujon Indian Restaurant in Braintree

Lovely restaurant …friendly welcoming staff ..relaxing atmosphere and great tasting Indian food ..would highly recommend it .

We had takeaway from Voujon Rayne and I can honestly say it was one of the best Indian takeaways we have had. Really fresh food, full of flavour. Would highly recommend!

We enjoyed a really lovely meal at Voujon. It was a fairly busy Saturday evening and we arrived on the off chance we could have a table. Within 10 minutes of arriving we were seated. The service was a bit slow but the food was worth the wait. It was a lovely meal. The restaurant is clean and the building is old and interesting. The waiter was honest about the slightly slow service which we appreciated. There were two new members of staff who we thought coped very well. Would definitely go again

40 mins to get a drink, 90 mins to get starter and nearly 2 hrs before mains arrived which was barely warm accompanied by a very rude waiter shocking service average food. NOT GOING BACK

Although I appreciate the current situation we are in and the desperate times restaurants are having, you would think they would make more of an effort, but my recent experience the food from here was poor. The food seemed quite bland. The chicken tikka masala didnt have that distinctive tikka taste, the kurma was watery, the dopiaza wasn't what i have experienced over many years. On a positive note the onion bhajis were lovely but thatvwas about it! Next time I will go elsewhere and spend £60 on a decent Indian meal.

A very good meal all round. Tender chicken, fluffy rice and generous portions, although my Sag Paneer only had one cube of paneer in it lol!

We are regular customers at the Voujon. I can honestly say it’s our favourite ever. The flavour in the food is mouth watering.We absolutely love dinning here. Very friendly staff too. Highly recommend.Donna & Robin
