Greenstone in Breckland

Family meal with 5 adults and 2 children, good spacious table with plenty of room, very easy to order and food came very quickly. The carvery was very nice a great choice and all hot and fresh, the kids meals were a good size and very nice. The mixed grill was great lots of different meats cooked perfectly, finally the lasagna and curry were also a good choice. We all had a lovely meal in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Our welcome was a nice start to the evening. We were taken to our table, given menus and were happy to go to the bar to order drinks and food.We had carvery and the chef was very helpful. The food was lovely, in fact I thought that the beef was the best I could ever remember.Whilst eating we were asked if everything was as required, which was thoughtful.The bar staff were very pleasant and patient with each customer.We will certainly be coming back again.

Was greeted by a lovely cheerful lady and taken to our table. Ordered at the bar, with a wonderful and patient gentleman.We both had the carvery, and I had beef which had a lovely flavour. The chap who served me was very kind and so cheerful.My only comment other than the above, would be it would be really nice to have a few plain vegetables. I am dieting and it would help me if there were some plain boiled vegetables.Overall a perfect visit

Greenstones is the perfect place for a casual family get-together. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is great value. We even had breakfast with Santa!

The pub itself was clean but dated, the carvery was fairly tight on meats but it was a Sunday so may have been trying to keep up with a busy Sunday lunch. Turkey was well cooked, not too dry so well done chef. Service was hospitable and welcoming. Would recommend for a lunch out with the family

Great atmosphere for families! Staff very helpful and cheerful. Food is a good price and plentiful. Outside garden and play area is great for keeping the kids happy 😄 and above excellent place to be for CHRISTMAS!!!

Fab for families, it kept my little girl entertained with the small children's indoor area and the outside garden play area. Our food arrived hot and in very good time, food was perfect pub food. Couldn't fault the service we received. Very pleased. Will visit again. 5*

The Greenstone is a pleasant pub that does good food.It was a bit disconcerting on arrival to be told to pick a table except a reserved one, when we had reserved. The gentleman on the door looked at our confirmation but said that did matter.However, once we were seated, we were really pleased with the ambiance, food and service at the pub.I began with nachos which were served with guacamole, sour cream and a tangy tomato salsa, really tastyMy parner had breaded mushrooms with a garlic mayonnaise which he really enjoyed.For mains I went for fish and chips with mushy peas – I was amazed to find a huge piece of fish, bigger than the plate. It was a delicious piece of Cod with a fluffy batter and bread to mop up the juices. A simple but tasty meal, satisfying and tasty. Well done to the cook.My partner had a double beefburger with jalapeños and mature cheddar cheese with onion rings. He was happy with the well-cooked burger and felt the flavours were distinct and combined well.For dessert he opted for Sicilian Lemon Muffin Cheesecake with ice cream – he loved this tangy sweetness which went down well.Overall a very positive expereince, if it hadn't been for the booking confusion at the door I'd have given this a five star.
