Nice chippy/daytime cafe, probably best prices in town

Food was very good.

Was nice, had sausage and chips. Staff were friendly and polite.

Had a really tasty traditional breakfast here for a very reasonable price. Service was swift and staff were friendly and helpful. Planning on going back to try the fish and chips soon.

A regular visit for me, Friday fish & chips with my wife, kids and grandparents.Excellent quality fresh fish, cooked to perfection and served in generous portions.Pre order for takeaway and good Covid policy / distancing.Now open for seated meals from a good choice menu.Lovely friendly staff.Highly recommended, else I wouldn't be going back all the time. ❤️

We were returning from Blakeney and were all quite hungry. Wetherspoons was packed and we couldn't get a table so we found Mariners place. It is a very traditional cafe which is clean and inviting. The staff were friendly and attentive too. The food was freshly cooked with good sized portions and we'll cooked. Most of us had the fish and chips with a large mug of tea. The fish was perfectly cooked with thin crispy batter. The chips were some of the best I had eaten which were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. What impressed me is that they were not greasy at all. The service was quick and the prices very reasonable. It was a Sunday afternoon so it was not that busy but I can highly recommend this cafe and will definitely visit again if we are in Dereham.

Looking for somewhere for lunch where we could sit with the dog. We asked if it was ok to sit outside but wonderful staff insisted we bring her inside and provided her with water and food. They were so friendly and kind and the food we ourselves had couldnt be bettered for quality and value. A lovely welcoming experience. Thanks to the great staff.

Excellent! Food was really good and the staff were super friendly! I was just there with my toddler and they didn't mind us staying a bit longer! They kept our good warm while my husband fed the our child! 👍🏽
