Romany Rye in Breckland

Went here for some food and drinks to celebrate my Dads Birthday. Lovely big place and has a nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and they even sung happy birthday when they brought his cake over.Food is a good price and tastes great and they have a pretty good gin collection to choose from

Everyone understands what level of experience you'll get at a weatherspoons, however this one was poor. In our section there was food all over the floor, I counted Sox tables that weren't all cleared by the end of my 1hour visit. And to top it off my burger was served cold. These are just the basics you expect a place to get right.

Value for money, no car park but there is free one 2 min walk away . Room basic and clean, room smelt vaguely of cigarette smoke and my room view gave me commanding views of the kitchen air filtration system, not my cup of tea but might be yours...Staff polite and helpful

Very surprising for a JD, it's clean, comfortable and very pleasant.Staff were great and really helpful. The meat was good and as always value for money.Still think the same after todays visit.

Its large premises with lots of nooks and crannies plus screens sectioning seating areas for better Covid security. Good condition beer, but no local ales which would have gained 5 star Food service good and nice staff.

What I witnessed today was totally unnecessary. 3 young men came in (clearly over 16) and ordered soft drinks from the app before ordering their lunch. Member of staff with pink hair came over and gave them their soft drinks, then decided to ask for ID. As they didn't have any ID on them she asked them to leave, refusing a refund (for a soft drink) as per their terms and conditions. I could understand if they had ordered alcohol, but this was totally uncalled for as they were not doing any harm, just having a soft drink with a meal. They were then told they were not allowed their 'soft drinks' before leaving. Shame on you Romany Rye Dereham and that member of staff, they were 3 young men just wanting some lunch with a soft drink who were very well mannered and behaved.

Excellent service from friendly staff. Good and drink at great price. Check out parking options before arrival. Some parking in the road, but not much.

Came here for my partners birthday for some dinner partner had tuna mayo jacket potato first time it came out it was in a dirty bowl and the tuna was dry and horrible so I sent it bk to get a fresh one second one was just as bad and tasted horrible so took it bk for refund. So they called the manager to do the refund. Didn't even get an apology or ask what was up won't be coming bk here that's for sure stay clear .

Nice sized, clean room, friendly staff. Food was okay.Children not permitted in the restaurant after 2100 but able to purchase snacks to take to the room - disappointing variety given that no hot meal option is available.Disappointingly overpriced for room only (particularly the child rate when in fact they only cost additional towels), especially given the pub noise outside the building with smokers and loud goodbyes below the window.

We had a lovely family meal here on Sunday evening 19/10/21. Food was tasty, hot and served with a friendly smile 😃. Not too crowded or noisy ,which enabled us to have a good catch up!Will definitely return on our next visit to Dereham.
