Visited yesterday for lunch. Very welcoming pub, friendly staff, nice decor. Food was nicely presented, tasted great plus generous sized portions. Will definitely return there. Highly recommended.

Spent a night at the Kings Head Hotel prior to our day out at Fakenham Race Course. Received very friendly welcome from the landlord Rob before going to our room. Room was very spacious and comfortable and attractively decorated and furnished. Lovely also to look out of our bathroom window to see sheep in a field at the back. The pub itself was busy (which is always a good sign of its popularity bearing in mind its rural location) and breakfast the following day was home cooked and plentiful.

Huge room, with a huge comfortable bed, fantastic friendly staff, nice bar/pub downstairs, with awesome friendly locals, with a large and varied menu. Excellent breakfast, I recommend the eggs benedict, however you have a plenty of choice, full English, cereals ,continental brekkie or fancy eggs. Rob the manager was a delight, and made myself and my partner feel very welcome.

I have visited here in the past for the occasional drink both in the bar and outside in the lovely garden but this was the first time I have had a meal there. A good friend and I went there at short notice for a meal ( we didn’t stay overnight) and it was simply delicious! All ingredients were clearly fresh and good quality , the portion sizes were generous and each meal that much better presented and tastier than what I could do at home ( lately I don’t think this is the case when I eat out ). A lovely interesting and varied menu selection.Every person who served us was cheery and polite, great atmosphere! We ate in the dining room which is a most beautiful room and made it that extra special!Thank you !Will definitely be back !!

A really great hotel. Lovely rooms and excellent facilities. They saved us from an awful holiday chalet experience at extremely short notice.

Lovely. We'd planned to go else where, but seeing as they were booked up for lunch we travelled up the road a bit and found this lovely pub. I wasn't sure at first, but as we walked through the doors and I spotted the elegant solid wood bar top and the flagstone floor, I was reassured. We were met with a pair of smiling staff and a welcoming "hello" and "have you booked?" We hadn't, but that was not a problem, we were furnished with drinks and menus and shown to a nice round corner table. I chose to have the burger which was delicious, but there were too many fries; fewer fries and a little coleslaw would have been my preference, but still delicious. My father had the same as I did and my mother had the lentil and vegetable pie which looked great and she confirmed that it was. I had no dessert but my parents shared a cheesecake which again looked amazing. All in all a lovely pub with very friendly and attentive staff and fantastic food will definitely make a return trip or two.

Really delicious food here, and great service, in a lovely setting. The menu had lots of options, many of which sounded so good that I struggled to choose. In the end, I went for a vegetable pie which was great, and my companions had a burger, loaded fries, a sausage and chutney sandwich and a katsu curry. We were all really happy with our choices!

We visited today for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed the roast and burger. Our 5 year old was pleased with the climbing frame in the back , although the swings were put up too low and it looked a bit run down. Biggest problem was there is no nappy changing table, so we had to change the baby in the carpark, not fun on a cold January day! Please guys, get one of these fold-down changing tables, it doesn’t make sense to have a climbing frame but then no place to change the little ones!
