·

Service excellent, food choice fine although on the expensive side, for both food and drink, nice seating area outside, staff are very patient and pleasant

We were unlucky with the food. They couldn't remove anchovies from their salad this time.

Good food but not family friendly. We stopped off at The Mulberry Tree for dinner after a day out with our twin toddlers. When we arrived the restaurant was completely empty but we did not have a booking so we were seated outside. The garden is very pleasant however we weren’t allowed to use the restaurant’s high chairs outside so we were brought some blankets to boost the kids up. When the menus arrived the Children’s menu had a note that children must remain seated and that any devices should be kept at a low volume. There is nothing wrong with this as I always keep volume down if we are in public but it did make me feel like families were unwelcome. I’d say this is the case. We ordered, ate and left within the hour and there were still empty tables inside which was frustrating especially since we had been denied the high chairs outside. The food was excellent, very tasty and well presented. Overall I didn’t feel very welcome as a family with children which perhaps is the point. It would have been nice to have that outlined though so we could have chosen somewhere else to eat.

Lovely food. Excellent menu, all a bit different to the majority of restaurants we have visited. Didn't stay in hotel, just ate lunch here.

Was there for a meal not to stay. Food was good but couldn't understand why we the customers had to work out our individual bills and not a member of staff. We did ask them to but got told we have to do from the one print out. Perhaps they'd like us to wash up too! Not impressed

Went here for the first time, the food and location was really nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. The sitting location wasn't ideal as it was right next to the coffee machine which didn't always make for a quiet relaxed atmosphere. Hence the 4 star rating. The portion were certainly generous and we struggled to finish our mains. Would definitely go again

Warm and friendly, excellent food...lovely Christmas decorations and my friends and I really enjoyed the delicious food. Have been here several times and it's always been a great experience.

Visited here a few times but the most recent time will definitely be the last. Initially the staff were very polite and friendly until they tried over charging for an extra whole round of drinks which we did not have. We were more than happy to go back and pay the difference, until we looked at the bill again and realised we were wrongly charged for an extra round. When we were trying to get to the bottom of it, we were accused of lying as their ‘system’ could not be wrong! We were trying to sort it out with who, we presume, was the manager on shift. Who was nothing but rude, swore at us, was swigging on his wine and rolling his eyes saying he was bored, tired and wanted to get home. All of us in the group knew for a fact that we only had 2 rounds of drinks, rather than the 3 we were charged for. Can’t believe the staff member we were speaking with could be so rude to customers and happy to overcharge for a whole round of drinks they did not have. Ruined the whole evening, will not go back. And would recommend you double check the bill before paying

Okay, so I might have needed a short notice booking due to an I'll planned Christmas meal for my mum..I sent a message on FB messenger and had a response within seconds saying when 'the person' was back in she would confirm if the shirt notice could be catered for..About an hour later I had a message saying it couldn't be done as they hadn't had any cancellations but I was offered an alternative booking.I couldn't make this booking so I assumed that was that.. just before I was about to head out for my meal I got anothrr message saying they had a short notice cancellation and I could come at my desired time! Which I of course accepted.Upon arrival (30 mins from accepting the booking) I as greeted by Karen with warm smiles and chat, who it turned out, was also who I'd been talking to on messenger.Karen came over along with other members of the team to check on us throughout to ensure our meal was okay.. As we left, we had another chat with Karen, who came over, which was the icing on the cake for me. It felt as though we weren't 'just another customer'.. Exactly what fantastic service looks like..So far, customer care boxes ticked, ticked and ticked again. The food was absolutely perfect.I had a goats cheese salad which was very nicely done. The goats cheese perfectly crisp on the outside and perfectly melted on the inside, complemented by a small salad. For my main I went for the steak which I ask for medium rare and it was cooked to order, would definitely be in my top ten steaks. The peppercorn sauce though, mind blower, big fan.Overall I would give 10/10. No complaints. Simply my upmost praise.

Delicious food, with nice selection that isn't too vast. Really friendly staff, who accommodated the fact we had a dog with a water bowl for us out side.Very reasonably priced. Would recommend and visit again
