Lovely old fashioned pub that is like a labyrinth. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Evening meal was plentiful and tasty. Room was spacious and immaculately clean. Bed was very comfortable and had a good nights sleep. Just a few niggles. One light in the bathroom kept flashing on and off. The hairdryer unit wasn’t fastened to the wall making it impossible to use as it was a spiral cord attached to the dryer. Luckily I always bring my own. And finally the cold tap was nigh impossible to turn off without really giving it a good strong twist. But saying that I would definitely stay again and recommend it.

Good food and drink. The pub is more geared to food as the bar area is small and situated to where the staff bring food from the kitchen so it is a busy thoroughfare. Well worth a visit. Beer is good with plenty of Ale to choose from.

Lovely pub, friendly service and great food. Came here to celebrate my Mums birthday - catered for all (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free and children)! Would highly recommend.

Very nice staff, warm and welcoming. The beer garden has a kids play area too to keep kids occupied whilst enjoying a cold one! Very nice rustic country pub in the middle of nowhere. Absolutely love it!

After hearing good reviews about The Olde Windmill from various people we decided to try it for Sunday lunch. I have to say we were very disappointed. Admittedly we arrived early, meeting friends there the idea was to have a drink before eating. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we could either have a drink in the bar or go to our table, we decided to go to the table. Looking at the menu we all decided to have the roast, asked what meats were available and told only lamb. The Husband can't eat lamb, was told he could have lemon chicken with the Sunday roast veg etc. It's the first place we've been to with only one meat on offer and lamb is not to everybody's taste. The service was very slow, it took a very long time between courses, the food was ok, the meat very fatty, as lamb can be, cauliflower in the cheese sauce was difficult to cut and sauce strong, the gravy watery and no flavour. We were told there was half an hour wait for food as they had 2 large groups in but it took over 2 hours for us to have 2 courses!! We didn't have desert but saw some sundae go out that looked nice. Maybe we chose a bad day to go but it certainly wasn't as good as we had been lead to believe and wouldn't be in a rush to go back, which is a sham as it's a beautiful old pub with loads of character.

So lovely! Been meaning to go since moving to the area a year ago. Beautiful location, fantastic building, great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff... Amazing food and to top it all off... Doggy friendly so our little monsters were able to come in and sit under the table, waiting for scraps. Will definitely be back again!

Authentic traditional old English pub. I almost don't want to share anything about this hidden gem, but I will because we had a fantastic NYE here. We we're so welcomed! Staff so friendly. The room's were clean and comfortable. Food was excellent. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Best of all pet friendly.
