Wanted to take a family member out for a meal, I’ll give him two stars because the serving staff were lovely really helpful. However the food was for at least two of us inedible. The chicken was overcooked and rubbery the ribs were undercooked the vegetarian toad in the hole, was hard. The only success was the fish and chips. They had run out of lemonade. Very disappointing experience, we stayed at the premier in, next door , overnight but did not take up the offer of breakfast due to our experience the day before.

We didn't book but walked in at about 6.30pm, over half the tables were empty. Booked earliest slot for 8pm. Felt like they only accommodated us because we were staying in the hotel part. However, although delivery was a little slow 1.5hrs for 2 courses, the food was excellent and our waitress Denise worked professionally like a complete trojan the entire evening.

Stopped on the of chance of being able to get a meal, didn't know that the hotel was here as not advertised on the main A14,we were heading into Thetford. Was attended to straight away and seated at a table, extremely pleasant staff,we had starters( sharing platter)and main meals and drinks. Will definitely be going back.

Signature red wine gravy is the oily watery mess on the plate , processed meat , stuffing raw in the middle and dry ,potatoes which taste old and cabbage dried out within an inch off its life.Processed peas and burnt parsnips which ironically were cold !I think the kitchen may have lost their passion or it certainly comes across as though that’s the case !Such a massive shame as this place had being recommended to me !We had already returned one meal which was cold after being brought out - Sadly the replacement wasn’t any better !Unfortunately I won’t be returning ☹️

Usually come here often and it's excellent. Today we went and were sat down at a dirty table for 40 mins before we even got our order taken. I appreciate that staff were very busy, but we had booked a table for 10 and got there at 10 to 10, only had our order taken at almost quarter to 11. We then had breakfast almost quarter past 11, which by that point everyone had left so it was just our table eating breakfast so we felt bad. The food was nice, but one plate was absolutely freezing and we didn't want to send it back in case we upset the staff or we had to wait another half an hour. When we went to pay, we got charged for 8 people, when in fact, we only had 7 of us.Such a shame, as usually it's brilliant for breakfast and any other time but won't be going back for a while.

Love coming here! I haven't been for some time due to covid but used to come weekly. I came with a friend during the week and really like the menu as they've had lots of changes but a really nice choice. The meal was fab along with desserts although they were out of a few desserts and they've taken fudge cake off the menu which was my fave but never the less, it was a fab meal over all, very well priced and good safety measures in place. Already got another booking for next week! :)

Chose the Warrener for an easy going family meal. Arrived at 5pm to a menu of what was NOT available, had our drinks order taken at 5.40pm when we were informed many drinks were not available, then arrived and were wrong. The starters arrived and were poor, not as described tasteless and poorly presented. No apologies from the staff for the delay or reason for it. At 6.55 I asked when the meals for the 5 children would arrive and given no answer. I found the manager and asked the same, the manger told me it would be soon. At 7pm we left as the manger was not interested and we had been in the restaurant for 2 hours with only starters. This is terrible service and terrible food, expected better from a national chain.

I was brought here on my last night after staying in the area fur a few days. Nice to catch up with friends. We had a warm welcome, the staff were attentive and a fabulous winter menu.A really nice ambience, lovely decor and historic photographs on display. Very prompt service, good food and fabulous hot deserts, the vegan ice cream is worth trying out!

Very good place. We went off peak hours just after days opening, so had fast service and food delivery. Some chairs do seem to be falling apart so may need replacing. The food is cooked well and tasty, no complaints. The BBQ sauce on some foods is too overpowering and does need to be toned down.
