Balti House in Brentwood

Look, there are plenty of half decent Indian food outlets in and around Brentwood. Some are exceptional whilst others are dire, I’ve tried pretty much all of them. The Balti House is sublime, superb, outstanding and the food is great value for money and as tasty as any Indian meal you are ever likely to eat. Stunning food and a standalone outlet producing a high quality cuisine. I highly recommend this business.

Unfortunately didn't expect our group of 11 that was booked by one of our team. Bonus is that you can bring your own drinks. Eventually got seated, lot of flaffing around ordering our food, main course and rice on my order was ok but I had the worst cauliflower bhaji ever !!

Extremely poor quality of food. The chicken and lamb is pre cooked, the masalla is the same in every curry except the daal. Very disappointing... They even had the cheek to add a service charge.

Nothing to fault apart from the incredible low ceilings downstairs of about 5ft 7inch in height. Everything food wise was spot on.

Went out with family today and we loved all the dishes. Even something as simple as coconut rice was very good. Owner and staff are lovely and we had lots of good conversations with the owner who truly cares about the quality of the food they put out. Went out of his way to make a cappuccino for the wife. Highly recommend eating here.

Awesome restaurant. The food is delicious & not even expensive!! Good little take away for a Friday night. Staff is also friendly & polite. Definitely recommend.

A very busy but average curry house. I went with my other half for a meal, but it was so loud we could hardly hear each other...a pub would have been quieter. The service was slow, but was told that was due to a staff member being stuck in traffic. The food was ok, but if you are really into succulent curry's, you'll find the food here a bit bland. My Chapatti was under cooked...which made my prawn Puri unenjoyable. It's nice that you can take your own alcohol, but the £2.00 charge for the chutney you get with your 70p popadom made me think that I'd rather go to an establishment with Cobra on tap.

Doesn't look that special from the outside but the food was fantastic. The South Indian Garlic Chilli Lamb was the best curry I've had in a very long time. The Lemon Rice and Coconut Rice was superb accompaniments. Friendly service, good value and BYO alcoholic drinks made it a really enjoyable and affordable night out. Highly recommended!
