Lovely sunny day, so we thought we would have a spot of lunch in a nice pub garden. Decided upon The Boars Head. Last time we went we were originally told we could take our dog, only to be turned away at the door. This time we thought we would sit outside (since dogs are allowed outside), however, this time only to be told that you can’t eat food outside (not even bar food)…ridiculous! Wish we had never bothered and will never be venturing to the Boars Head again!

Do not share this review with Gordon Ramsey . Best food I have eaten for a long time . I cant find any fault . Staff great , food well cooked and menu choices just great . We will be back as its only a 25 minute drive from Romford . Cant wait . (only one thing the food is so good the bees seem to have found a way inside). Update... Still Great

Have only been here a few times for a short while, but it's always a warm welcome in a pleasant atmosphere. As a non-drinker, the lemonade was really good. Much better than what normally gets served in pubs.

Had a lovely evening meal. Food was excellent. Service was great and staff very friendly. If we are in the area again will definitely revisit. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Another amazing dinner at this fantastic restaurant/dining experience. Definitely arrive early and stay late after dinner. Lovely staff, great food & ambiance. Booking for another visit soon.

Have been a regular here for a number of years but today, food was cold staff was inattentive, the impression given was they didn’t want to be there. Very disappointed, won’t be going back again, maybe if there’s a change of all staff (inc’ Manager) I may take a gamble? Recommend you avoid this place, there’s plenty more in the area.

A cosy and friendly Brewers Fayre, with their usual classic decor and rustic charm. Service is very warm and friendly, and food is served quickly.Portions are generous and on the whole well made. A steak sandwich I had was very tasty but well over the medium rare I asked for and the bread burned rather than toasted. Small details but worth noting.Booking is recommended as it gets busy quickly. Cat parking is also limited.

Decent pub serving reasonably priced hearty meals and a great value kids menu. The food was nothing special but perfectly good and in line with expectations for this kind of place. Unfortunately when we visited there were only outside tables available and we were just constantly attacked by very aggressive wasps. We moved tables, over to the pond side but they kept coming. While not entirely the pubs fault, surely they could do something about this as it really did spoil an otherwise lovely experience, especially with two young kids.

My wife and I went for Sunday lunch with our daughter and son in law. The service was really good and the surroundings very nice. A good range of vegetarian food was available too. Well worth a visit

Beautiful lunch views, great roast dinner served very quickly and most importantly great service; kindly cater to menu item swapping with no dramas and a lovely relaxing but not-too-quiet vibe. Felt under pressure hosting my Dad who travelled 200 miles just to have lunch with me/for the day & Boars Head really was perfect - thanks guys! Look forward to coming again :)
