Good beer, nice atmosphere, quiet beer garden, great prices, lovely staff.

Not the same since being taken over by corporates. Used to frequent it regularly. Rather than a hub for locals, it has just become another cheap booze, off- High St establishment with far less charm because of its changed clientelle demographic. The location, a real plus, is something going for it that can't obviously be changed when money alone talks

Pub a Bit quite. But girl serving was brilliant. She pulls a lovely pint of Guinness with a Shamrock on top. Really appreciated. 5 Stars

Was here end of August; absolutely fine- if my friend likes i like..interesting larger than life characters

Not a local but always saw this pub whilst driving by in the course of my job...had the opportunity to visit today and my hunch paid off! Really friendly landlord & landlady as were the locals...a proper pub not far from the Railway Station with no plastic people as can be the case on the High Street! Really impressed with the price for Timothy Taylor Landlord...£3.10 a pint but then she explained £2 90 a pint Monday to Thursday...wow so cheap in Brentwood 😉🍺 part of the Craftunion pub chain so enjoy quality ale without having to pay a fortune 👏
