We enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch today with our friends. Perfectly cooked roast dinners with temptingly delicious desserts. A lovely convivial atmosphere enhanced the dining experience. Thank you to our waiter Timothy for his his attention and service.

Went for family Sunday dinner today 3pm booking service was OK as were drinks and starters. Sadly the main course was an absolute disappointment.Cold plate barely warm food, nice Yorkshire pudding, two mediocre slices of tough beef, one small carrot sliced into 4 and 3 pieces of roast potato which would not have amounted to one small potato unsliced. A few greens and gravy thrown in. My family are not in the habit of making a fuss and made the best of it. Were we too late at three to expect a satisfying meal?

We often stop here especially for Sunday brunch or roast. This Sunday we arrived without booking and we still managed to get a great table even if it was very busy. I really enjoyed the Fig and Dolcelatte roast, it was delicious! The service was very good and Lucy looked after us and ensure everything was perfect! I love this place..the atmosphere, food and service have never let me down!! Well recommended!!

Absolutely appalled!Went for a drink at 6pm on a Sunday evening. It was Not busy. There were empty tables everywhere! They would not serve us as we didn’t have a booking.Tried to book on line and couldn’t.They then insisted we must leave. We felt we were thrown out!Madness..All we wanted was a coffee!Never been treated like this!

Went for my dads and sisters birthday. 2 hours for food with 1 year old child, 4 year old child etc. The food then came out cold and certainly not worth the price. Felt sorry for the waiting service as clearly a problem across the restaurant

Went here last night to celebrate a friends promotion. Had the Scallops to start which were phenomenal. For main had the Lamb Rack based on my friends recommendation (not usually a lamb fan but this was gorgeous). Had the cheeseboard instead of a desert and they had a really good Brie. Front of house was a girl called Alix who looked after us at the bar whilst we waited for the rest of our party to arrive and Ella, our waitress, was always checking on us to make sure we were okay - all in all a fantastic evening.

Food is ok. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice old pub, but it's been modernised like a franchise or chain, and the food's the same. Nothing wrong with the place, I would eat there again, it's still a paper napkin job though.
