Izumi - Oriental Buffet & Grill in Brentwood

Went today to find it is closed. And all signage for “zenxi”. Disappointed as the website shows open as does Google. Unless we were in the wrong place. And phone number doesn’t connect.

Great staff food is perfect and well worth the money . A tad noisy but its what to be expected.

Really good selection but the food itself was bang average (It was a very busy Friday night). Lovely atmosphere and the waiting staff were warm and welcoming. Definitely worth another visit soon.

Amazing food and nice staff but cutlery and plates could be cleaner as sometimes there was still food left on it.

Teppanyaki is particularly good, made to my explicit requirement by a capable chef,my compliments to the him, photo attached. Just a little annoying that whilst standing at the tepenyake station, one is constantly having to step aside for staff moving back and forth with their little trollies with a thought that sometimes will be spilled on ones clothes.Had gone there on a Sunday (yesterday) with a party if 12+ friends. Seemed very popular with some birthday party group as well.Attire was very casual indeed.Would suggest placing some chilli oil at the starters station, rather than having to go up to the chef at the tepenyake bar to get some.The tables are far too small and seating far too cramped.That aside it was a good time, had by all.There is ample car par parking to the right of the restaurant on cobbled loose stones.Recommended ****21 July 2019 /////////Went there again yesterday with a smaller group this time.We had a nice table out of the way so we could all talk and eatThere was plenty of choice with varied flavours.My only Disapointment was with the Chinese chef doing the Teppanyaki. A real shame the previous European chef has left.Chef's failed to slice fresh root ginger, which has always been done for me before, instead, he offered me some minutely cut ginger that was sitting in water, looked pathetic. So I refused it. The chef said he did not have any ginger other than the one floating in the water bowl.That is a extremely poor state of affairs for a restaurant that serves freshly made food.The chef'a laziness, to go and slice fresh root ginger, dramatically reduced the overall flavour and enjoyment of my tailored dish on this occassion. I mentioned this to the manager. Hopefully, Izumu will be more tuned next time.That apart, my group enjoyed the outing to Izumi.Let us hope the Teppanyaki chef is more enlightened next time.I have added 3 photos today

Always a very good Friday outing after work so you can start happier your weekend! Very good quality of the food and not expensive!!

All you can eat Chinese buffet. Nice range of food.

My family really like the place, we come for dinner regularly on Saturday. There is a great selection which I couldn’t think of anything that wasn’t not on any Asian buffet menu that I would want. The food is always fresh, hot, very tasty. Moreover, manager and staff are really friendly and helpful. It’s a must go place! We really enjoyed it.

A very busy but not chaotic restaurant that meets good standards for All-You-Can-Eat type places. A large amount of space for small and big groups. A good selection of food ranging from starters, mains to desserts, a bar and even a place for a chef to cook some dishes. Staff are friendly and helpful. No task too big, no question too small. Lots of free parking as the restaurant shares this with the rest of the leisure park. Decent price for what you pay for.Since this place is very popular waiting times can be long depending on time and group size. I would advise to make a reservation.
