Leather bottle in Brentwood

Busy and popular pub in the middle of Blackmore. Lots of people eating and drinking, but plenty of space at the bar. The beer was good and the service quick, despite how busy it was.Nice old building with all the character you could want. They have kept it bright and welcoming inside.Luckily we were in the village already so did not need to park. Parking is a nightmare, with people inconsiderately filling the residential streets and making the junction almost impassable.

Omg I love this place, service was amazing, staff are lovely and friendly, they have time for you. Decor and atmosphere were classy and inviting. Food was amazing, we had the focaccia to start to share, then I had the Jerk Chicken burger and my wife the Moroccan veg tagine, all the food was out of this world and Adnams Ghost Ship beer as well. It doesn't get much better than this. 100% go to this place you won't be disappointed.

I was down visiting my daughter, fancied lunch out. So we popped in for the first time, so glad we did. Lovely warm welcome with great service. Great looking menu and some lovely specials. Our food looked amazing and equally tasted the same. Will definitely make a returning visit

We arrived in the hope that we could a table for lunch and was seated quite quickly, although busy the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was slightly more expensive than expected but was well worth it, which unfortunately lead me to getting a dessert as well - bang goes the diet!!😂 Will be back......

Realy nice service and good food.

Great indoor decor and ambience. Nice layout with space between tables and staff wearing masks (this is posted during Omicron). Friendly staff and clean/polished look about the place. We had the Sunday roast (beef and lamb) and the haddock. Good portions and tasty food, though the rectangular plates were a little awkward (and limited the amount of food on the plate!)

A lovely little location with great decor. Cosy, friendly and clean. Staff were very nice and the food was lovely. I can imagine this place being a cute little Christmas stop. Would recommend

This might have been the best piece of fish & chips I've ever had! Crispy batter that's not too thick, perfectly light and crispy triple-cooked chips. Homemade tartar sauce, half a lemon, and a choice between mushy, garden, or no peas. The salt grinder dispensed the perfectly sized granules for the fish. Overall a lovely dish.EDIT: I should point out that all seasoning is my own.I returned the next day and had the sausage and mash. The sausages were perfect (no gristle, I hate gristle in sausages, so this was nice) and the mash too. Creamy and again, perfect.The music selection is a good mix of mostly pre-millennial pop and at a low enough volume that you can have a conversation normally.
