Shenfield Tandoori in Brentwood

Poisoned! Last night, I went to ST with my wife to celebrate her birthday. She had always been a staunch vegetarian, so she ordered the Paneer (Cheese) and discussed it with the server. They were too preoccupied with the fact it was their own dinner time, keen to publicly munch away in the corner like mongrels. They confirmed her dish was Paneer when delivered. My wife became ill after a few bites and appeared to be having difficulty eating, coughing, and breathing. Chicken had been presented to her. When I complained, they took no responsibility and jokingly said sorry! They appeared amused and absolved themselves of any blame. I spent the evening comforting my mentally and emotionally concerned wife. I'm enraged that their attitude and lack of attention have ruined the occasion and am yet to hear any type of apology. Disgraceful behaviour, shameful conduct.

Called in here tonight, such bad attitude from the staff. Decided to walk out and walked straight over the road. Cheer up and treat your customers like you want them to be there, they might stay

Lovely Dhansak. 1st time I have been as I live miles away but the food and service is great.

Food and service were good but prices seem to have increased post lockdown.

The food was so good, really enjoyed it, well priced. Waited a little long for our mains although I didnt particularly mind. It was super busy and I was just happy it was super tasty! 👍

Just had a take away chicken tikka biriani chicken and rice so dry . Veg curry not much sauce . Also had special fried rice again very dry and not fluffy . Didn’t taste very fresh disappointed 😞 definitely not as good as it used to be

The food is very tasty, very impressed by the quality. Freshly made and served.This is a third visit by a curry club and has not disappointed

I enjoyed the evening but the food could have been better. The chicken in my Bunna could have been more like breast and less like cubes. The sauce was less tomato and more watery onion. The empire is better but they wanted a deposit so i went back to Shenfield tandoori.

Not impressed with anything at this restaurant sadly.Service wasn't great, food was below average which is a shame given the possibility of such rich flavoursThe vegetarian food tasted like the vegetables had been frozen.Hoping the bar will be raised for future patrons, sadly we won't be trying it again
