The beer is nice but the food is not so interesting. Everything for me lacked salt and taste in general. Had ordered a half and half pizza and some prawns with chips. The prawns were quite nice. had asked for a glass of water, it never came so had to go to the bar counter and get it myself. All in all its a decent place to chill at the country side and has the ambience of a contemporary English pub.

Very nice little pub with some good food. I've never had such a full steak pie, wow, delicious! Quite a good gluten free offering too for those with dietary restrictions. Really friendly server lady made our visit very pleasant. Thanks, we will be back.

Decent food, large portions (including starters), so careful you don't overdo it early on. Pleasant-enough place and staff. Large car park & on bus route. A little overpriced and disappointingly, short measures at the bar on several drinks ☹️ But, OK over all.

Great food, good service if you don't mind TV in almost all rooms.Booked a Sunday dinner online in the outside seating area. The covered areas are warm and comfortable even when it's damp and soggy outside. The food was very tasty and served quickly by the staff. The only issue was one of atmosphere. There are lots of different areas in the pub, but only one which doesn't have TV showing sport. We didn't mind, but it might put some off having dinner.

Was completely ignored for a good 5 minutes by a number of staff walking past us as we waited for a table to be seated. The attitude of a particular member of staff working behind the bar towards customers waiting for a table was completely unnecessary and I feel needs training in customer service as they clearly have no idea in hospitality. We ended up leaving along with several people also in the qué, ended up at another local pub where our custom was welcomed.Would not return here again nor do I recommend which is a shame because we have eaten here on a number of occasions in the past.Only given 1 star because I had to give something to post this review.

We ordered a takeaway roast dinner a few days ago for collection today. Very good price and an excellent amount of food. We had the lamb and the chicken and husband ordered a extra Yorkshire pudding, they were huge he was just greedy. Throughly enjoyed our huge dinners, would definitely order again.

Went on a recommendation that the roasts are good. Was a bit underwhelming, the roast was below average, not very much and the duck roast potatoes were lacking flavour, crunch and just had this skin like the ones you get on frozen roast potatoes. Veg was just normal steamed veg. Yorkshire was ok and the meat was ok as well. Beef was a little dry, lamb was better so be sure to go for that but may depend on the day.

Everything you want from a local gastro pub. Lovely rustic decor. Friendly staff. Good food. Nice wines.Photo is the blackened king prawn salad with couscous which was delicious

Nicely decorated, food here was great and reasonably priced. Large car park. Shame it is on a main road and not in a country setting.

Great service. Nice food. I enjoy dining in the garden.
