The Fish House in Brentwood

We have been coming here for months every Friday evening and eating in. The food and staff are amazing . We come 20 miles for this fish n chips and would not go anywhere else. The haddock and cod is always perfect and chips the best . Thank you

I have been coming here for 3 years and the fish has been lovely. Sadly the quality has started to decline. Chip's haven't been fresh and the fish has been sitting on the hotplate too long. I ordered a skate wing a few days ago which had hardly any fish on it. Thinking it was a one off I ordered again tonight. Sadly the skate wing was small with hardly any fish and crusty from sitting in the hotplate. The Chip's were old and and dry. For the price you should be serving one large piece of fish or two small ones. Please go back to your old standards

Ordered a large bag of chip and 3 jumbo sausages. First time ordering and first time got a giant bag of stale chips. You've clearly had to wait for uber eats to allow your business to continue selling after the storm and instead of throwing the chips out you serve them up. Disguating! Secondly because I'm here, you serve normal sausages. the only thing jumbo is the price! Hate these takeaways that hike up the prices of the food but do sod all for the quality.

I got told to never walk down alleyways at night but I prefer convenience and a gentleman who works there walked out and asked me if I want food. Hell yeah I do cause my credit card got blocked when someone transferred me £700! They gave me free food and lots of it tonight as they are closed the next day which is Halloween. I've ordered deliveroos from here a few times as well.I gave some to my mate (neighbor) and her kid cause too tired to eat 15 sausages and all the other stuffs and the only thing I wasn't given was fish lols. Thank you!

Some of the best fish and chips I have ever had and the gluten-free fish and chips was absolutely gorgeous nice crisp better

Ordered via Deliveroo from The Fish House in Brentwood and ordered 2 peri peri chicken meals.What I received I wouldn’t feed to my dog.Chicken was unseasoned and certainly not peri peri and was also undercooked and pink inside.I had to complain to Deliveroo to get a refund and threw both meals in the bin.Never Again would I eat from this place even if it was FREE.Avoid unless you like undercooked pink dried old chicken**No response from owner on here regarding this issue-Strange as thought you would have responsed and given an explanation as to why I received chicken of such poor quality**
