Went in for a light bite for lunch and while not expecting much was extremely underwhelmed. Fries were dry to tasteless and the sourdough for the chicken sandwich was dry and extremely small. Smaller than the kids menu burgers for our children and just a bit bigger than the top of a pint glass. Wife and kids food was similarly poor quality. Tasted like a poor version of a chain pub in a service station. The staff while friendly when we pointed out the very small portions said this was standard for their lunch menu. A pub that focuses as a restaurant will need to much better to attract people to its more remote location.

We went with our daughter and son in law for lunch today. The outside of the pub needs a face-lift but inside is very nice and cosy. The service was great and the food was very good. Good value too

We visited this lovely pub/restaurant for mother's day. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was lovely and the team were so nice and attentive, particularly Sophie who was our waitress.Thank you to the Greyhound team for making my mother's day so special. We can not wait to return.

Wonderful Sunday roast! We had a trio of meat at a great price and it was delicious. Such good quality. Staff were friendly and Stacey was especially helpful and welcoming.

Just started going out and decided on Greyhound as it had been our go to restaurant pre Covid. Met by staff as entered and given a nice table. Shortly after the waitress arrived and took our food and drink order. Drinks arrived shortly after but main courses seemed to take a while. When they arrived one meal was okay (Fish and Chips) but the other HUNTER'S CHICKEN SCHNITZEL had significant burnt areas on the surface which had affected the cheese and chicken below making it inedible. We raised the matter with the waitress who immediately offered to replace the food with the same item or any other item on the menu. We decided to change the menu to fish and chips which we felt would have a quicker turnaround to enable us to eat together. I continued my meal to avoid it getting cold but there was again a significant delay and I finished my meal. We had both finished our drinks and the replacement meal had not turned up. We spoke to the waitress who said the meal was nearly ready but we decided to cancel the meal as part of our enjoyment going out is to share a meal. We paid and left

We had a lovely meal here tonight. Stacey was a wonderful host despite immense pressure - they were clearly understaffed but she went above and beyond, dessert was top notch. The camenbert starter was to die for and my partner had a lovely steak, heartily recommend.

Where to begin, we ordered baked cheese for starter, arrived well undercooked and additional accompaniments were missing. Sent back, all arrived back cooked correctly. However our mains arrived straight after we put our cutlery down. The mains had obviously been left on the hot plate. My pork was hard on one corner and the whole meal was not hot. Should have sent back but just wanted to finish and leave. The head chef should take a refresher on preparing food as this whole experience was not a good dining experience.Around us people were complaining about various issues, mainly the time it took to get their orders. Our server Stacey was attentive though, possibly wasted there. She deserves to be serving better quality meals as she must see a reduction in tips.

Went here as a couple and was so pleased that we did. The staff were super attentive and the food was both delicious and plentiful. Would definitely come again.

Absolutely amazing food, as always! Proper restaurant quality. Regularly changing menu, gorgeous tasting meals, great value and we've always had great service. Today we were served by the lovely Stacey and she was so friendly and helpful. I've been recommending it to everyone!

Hugely disappointing 2nd time in a row.1900 dinner booking on Sunday lovely inviting setting4 drinks, 2 x Starters, 2 x Mains £69Service is really poor, food was below par and missing items with no replacements- Full price with no apologyAfter seeing ourselves to the table anddespite enough staff - After waiting 25mins, went to Bar to order food myself.Starters were ok (on the cool side)Pre warned of Trio Roast no longer served order Beef insteadMains came an hour after arriving..Missing- Yorkshire Pudding, Parsnips, Red & Yellow peppers, & Red Onion (and luke warm temp)Roast potatoes were par boiled not Roasted. No substitute offered/discount Or apology! While I appreciate 1900hrs might be towards the end of serving - My response would be Don't offer to serve - steer people from ordering Sunday Roast.Over 2hrs later, £69 lighter with below par service and food.In a competitive market I hope The Greyhound live up to their name with a speedy response.
