The Railway Hotel in Brentwood

Wow! We came here for breakfast this morning and for a place with only 2 people on the floor (Wendy and Joely) our service was fantastic. We had such a lovely breakfast. Both staff was absolutely lovely and so polite. I couldn’t wish for a better service.

Rubbish. The salad bar was half empty. They run out of lettuce and I was told a 15 min wait for it to be topped up.Our starters was over cooked. I think they had been standing under the hot light for ages.My partners meal had to be sent back as the chicken was so over cooked it could not be eaten. We ended up not eating togetherWe shared a side dish that was over cooked. By the time my partners meal was ready the side was stone cold.I asked for a drink and never received itNever again

I opted for the main course salad bar, as I love this so much. My 2nd visit to The golden fleece this week. Both times I was served my salad by the same friendly helpful server (sorry don't remember her name). She was so friendly & helpful with my vegan requirements. She cared about my meal & presented it so lovely.I have to say, that I know many would rather serve themselves the salad bar. But I disagree. I prefer someone else serving as the eliminates cross contamination made by other customers.I've had good and bad experiences from other Harvesters, but not this one. I've always received great, friendly service & great food.Well done to all your staff at this restaurant.I should add that others in my party order from the menu & receive the same great quality

Brilliant customer service and food today, staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food couldn’t have been better, Steak was cooked perfectly and our Childs food was left to cool down before serving. Tracy and Wendy and the rest of the team were great.

I popped in this morning, my car was in the KIA garage opposite. I brought my laptop with me so that I could work whilst here.Andrea served me and was the most pleasant, kind, friendly and helpful waitress I have ever had the pleasure of being served by. A true credit to your team ☺️

Tracy G needs a pay rise! Our waitress Tracy was fab went above and beyond for our work meal today, she was so attentive, made sure everything was correct, she couldn’t have been more helpful and made the experience fun! She made us all feel so welcome. She deserves to be recognised for her amazing customer service

My chicken stack was lovely. But my wife had the salmon & wasn't impressed.Vegetables were too hard not cooked enough, salmon was too dry.Our waitress sue was very good.

The food was delicious and the bacon cooked to perfection. The service was delightful too, everyone was super friendly and really helpful.Great breakfast overall!

Having visited many local restaurants across the UK, it surprises me that it was this Harvester, a chain restaurant, that felt the most welcoming and friendly of them all. The staff are just magnificent, and very friendly, and the food is top quality! I'm pleased to say that this particular restaurant ranks high on my list of favourite places, and they've got me as a repeat customer for years to come.In addition, they sell the only good BBQ sauce I've had in this country, as well as a Spiked Maple sauce which is just incredible in the kitchen. I don't know what I'll do if they ever stop selling it.

My waitress sue was amazing very polite and such a refreshing attitude. I didn't really enjoy the food . My fish was a bit too oily for my liking .
