Amazing experience!!!!Food was delicious we had starters and mains was so full you probably only need a main! Food feels like a homemade meal lovely countryside pub feel but with the convenience of being close to home. Staff all so welcoming and helpful will definitely be back ASAP

Great local pub, old village type feel to it, lovely staff made us feel welcome, food was brilliant but make sure you are hungry as it is very filling. Top quality.

Went for lunch as it was one of our favourite restaurants. I had crusted Hake with small roast potatoes with savoy cabbage. The Hake sat on the top of the vegetables, I had a bite of the Hake and then I lifted the Hake to one side and I noticed it was rather a small portion for the price which was twenty two pounds. My husband complained to the waitress and she went to see the chef. The waitress returned and informed me that if i wanted a bigger portion I would have to pay for it. I asked for Seabass instead and another older waitress came back with another portion of Hake but the potatoes where cold.

The marquee has been set up beautifully to maintain safe distancing in these uncertain times. The individual gazebos for each table ensures privacy and space between groups. Service was good - helpful and friendly staff. Food was very good and staff were happy to accommodate requests to alter accompaniments to the main course. Portion sizes were good without being overwhelming, which meant we comfortably had room for dessert.Would definitely be happy to eat here again.Have just returned from a second visit and everything was just as good as our first visit. Marquee has heaters in each cubicle, so although it was cold and wet out, we were lovely and snug. Highly recommend this bar and restaurant.

Bar staff couldn’t pour a vodka lemonade even thought I bought 200 pounds worth he would always put soda water in instead. And then they refused us shots as we was “too drunk” they couldn’t even make a drink correctly and really made us all feel uncomfortable. Worst pub in the area wouldn’t recommend

High quality food at fair prices, good selection of beers and wines. Friendly service. Updated interior to an old pub.

Two very decent plates of food cooked professionally without the hint of a freezer bag. The presentation, the taste and the whole experience was excellent. I had the lamb cutlets and calamari. This is a proper gastro pub of the highest order thank you

Excellent interesting menu and all seven of us greatly enjoyed our evening. Friendly attentive service and a good wine list. Great to see a Douro wine on it - all too rare...

Very nice, cosy and surprisingly sheltered and warm even on a very windy evening. I absolutely love the setout, very Covid Safe. Food options are good too and the drinks don't let you down either. Altogether a very nice experience and I will definitely book to go back. Had to pay a small deposit to hold the table for us, and I guess that gets taken away if you don't show up or cancel your booking. Food was very delicious. Very happy!
