Arrived into the car park opened the boot on my Citroen c3 to get my suitcase out and my boot caught on the roof structure marking it.Booking in was efficient. The room was very basic large cobweb and the Central light fitting. The bed was very high but was a comfortable.Only have one tub chair no table onia desk needs another chair and table for coffee etc.Breakfast was very disappointing it was a buffet I'd ordered poached eggs which were hot but nothing else was.

The hotel staff were friendly and professional. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The bar/ lounge area was comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was excellent with great choice and quality. Parking at the hotel is limited

Proof is in the pudding that some people CANT work with people!I’ve stayed here before and I experienced similar very uncomfortable situation with Miss Angela (Middle Aged lady with blonde hair and glasses at the reception). Last time she was giving me uncomfortable dirty stares for no reason my entire stay and I noticed her whisper and talk about me with other staff member. I got on very well with other staff members and always treat them with tips as they work hard and deserve it.This time Angela was over the top! She decided to attack me for no reason from the early morning! I reckon she just loves ruining people’s stays and days! She was literally picking on me and when she couldn’t find fault she will try to find every excuse under the sun to argue with you and make you feel bad when you’ve done nothing wrong!!!!!!!!! I went downstairs to see first what they have for breakfast and after she asked me if I’m having it I said I don’t know (I’m not psychic and need to see what’s on offer first before I spend my money on it!) and Angela didn’t like my answer!!! She approached me and started telling me off like I’m her child or something( I’m 36 years old btw and I’m paying customer 🤣) she said HOW dare you to come to MY RESTAURANT like that 🤔 she started talking weird stuff and was intentionally trying to find some fault in me so she can tell me off!!! She was telling me off because I should feel lucky as she allowed me to take breakfast to my room because people are not allowed! so I said why you’re letting me to take it and then complain? I don’t work here and I don’t know anything so why I have to be allowed something and then been attacked about it!?!?!? Ive never ever had experience like this when staff member is so WEIRD RUDE AGGRESSIVE AND TRYING to pick on you for no reason!!! Things she was saying DID NOT MADE SENSE and I felt like I’m in a mad house NOT hotel!!!! I’m thinking of raising my concerns with the HEAD OFFICE as surely this is not normal and no one should be treated like that!!!! From now on I’m also recording EVERY SINGLE conversation I’m having. It’s very obvious that some haters are NOT MEANT TO BE WORKING WITH PEOPLE! Disgusting experience this morning that made me VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND UPSET!!!!!!!!!

Have to say not up to usual standards of cleaning but main complaint is about total lack of parking space. Can understand why people are refusing to check in when they find out they can't find a parking space

Possibly the fastest check in I've ever experienced! Comfortable room, perfect for the train - it's just over the road. Breakfast is good value. Only a shame they don't give daily housekeeping at the moment.

Polite staff. Rooms lack basic amenities like a telephone, a bedside fridge. No toiletries, not even a toilet brush. Very tiny and dirty parking lot.

Great staff, very helpful. Rooms ok, but just standard size double bed and very high from the floor!! Enjoyable evening meal, lovely waitress and they stocked my favourite wine but found breakfast a bit of a hassle as it's help yourself and the queue for the toaster meant my breakfast was cold by the time I got back to the table.

On arrival accepted late evening on a Friday no one on reception one lady running the bar and reception. It was an intimidating reception to the hotel a pub next to the hotel was lively. In reception and around the bar area lots of what appeared to be random people wandering round which made the hotel feel insecure.Around the entrance halls and landings the was an extremely pungent smell of cannabis this was a no smoking hotel. Fixtures and fittings very tiered and worn, and not enough towels provided for 2 guests per room.On the plus side great shower some lovely staff, but I wasn't impressed the way the person on reception turned off the lights in the bar rushing people out. Not a good example from Permmier Inn

My partner, son and I have visited this Premier Inn several times now and it has always been a pleasant visit. The staff (both day and night) were friendly during our last visit, the food was lovely and the rooms were kept clean and tidy as the other Premier Inns we have stayed in previously. The only issue is the parking but other than that we've always had a pleasant experience. Will be back in a year or two as we enjoy gallivanting down Essex! From your fellow Welsh visitors :-)
