Roast @ The Oaklands Hotel in Broadland

Not that great for the money. Booked the annex but was put into hotel. Overheated in rooms but no thermostat and if you like a decent shower.. don't bother. Lovely restaurant and terrace. Enjoy the venue for a party but book a night at the nearest premierinn.

Very disappointed with this hotel. The room was very dirty had hair in the bath and sink. Dust in the bath. Finger clippings in the bed ( disgusting).Dirt on the floor, clearly this room hadn't been cleaned properly. On the plus side the staff on reception was very helpful and understanding when we asked to have a full refund and to leave straight away.

Nice hotel with its own parking in lovely village location. Room was immaculate although the smell of food in the hallway was off putting. Had a very nice meal in the restaurant and breakfast was really nice and a very good choice. My only gripe would be not enough staff , front entrance either empty or you are left waiting. Also no one answering the room service number. Would stay again though.

Room cleanliness, car parking and food were excellent but as to booking in as Receptionist gave me room card which did not work. Second card did not work either. Third attempt it worked after waiting two hours and going to Receptionist for it. Bedroom bedside light does not light separately from main light so one has to have both lights on or both lights off. Also switch is near entrance door so one has to get out of bed to turn all lights off. Professional electrician definitely needed here.Good sized bedroom with decent en suite bathroom with bath and shower.As it was New Years Eve it was nearly fully booked. Felt sorry for Receptionist who was having a pig of a day with printer, room cards and guests.Hope Room 20 gets sorted and 2022 is kinder to not only Receptionist but to us all. Happy New Year. We had our work Christmas party here last week. The decor was lovely, the food was delicious (the size of my beef and ale pie was immense!) and the live music was great. The staff were really attentive and helpful. I definitely would be happy if we ended up back here for Xmas Do 2022!

Very comfortable rooms. Warm, quiet, large bathroom with very fluffy towels - always a bonus. Friendly, professional staff, plenty of parking spaces directly adjacent to the reception. Super hotel.

First time in this hotel. Clean and comfortable room. Could hear people walking upstairs- very creaky but apart from that great room. The food was amazing- home made things- tasted divine! King rib for dinner- melting in the mouth. For breakfast I ordered home made pancakes with bacon-yummy!

Went to the Oaklands for a works Christmas meal. Was very impressed with the functions marque where the meal took place, the food was hot and very tasty and i was pleasantly surprised by just how much there was. All serving staff were very polite and everything appeared to be under control. Based on my experience i would definitely recommend the Oaklands Hotel for a meal out.

Friendly staff, quiet room in the annex which was very clean and had everything needed if a little basic. There was a low level noise overnight, maybe a water tank or heater, which was a little distracting. Excellent vegan breakfast, good service in the restaurant with nice coffee too. Overall good value.

The public area of this hotel is huge and there is also a large marquee outside. It was packed on the Saturday evening we visited with people eating and an "Oaktober Fest" going on. The staff were all very friendly and the food was lovely, with good portions, and reasonably priced. Would definitely use it again. The 2 friends with whom I dined were staying the night there and said that their room was really nice. They even have a farm shop on site selling lots of interesting things.
