A treat out by the in laws for my upcoming 60th birthday. The pub was packed solid and staff struggled to keep up therefore service was very slow. Had to wait quite a while for drinks but our first course arrived in a decent amount of time. My husband's main had been forgotten so we had to wait for that quite a while but the food was good. Still waiting for the mayonnaise that father in law asked for (a minor issue.)I can't understand why the lamb shank pie and veg are served in bowls not on a plate. I found it difficult to enjoy my dinner because of this so on reflection maybe I should have asked for a plate to put it on.The pub was very hot inside and we were tucked in a tight corner which made me feel quite uncomfortable after a while. Had to leave before dessert as a result. Not the best experience but the staff can only do so much. Thanks anyway, maybe I'll get a birthday dessert at some point?

Didn’t stay. Meal for 4 excellent. Very traditional pub. Lovely menu choices. I had the crab salad which tasted amazing just the right amount of dressing etc well presented taste 5/5 my friend had the smoked salmon pasta which was thoroughly enjoyed. .The menfolk both had the burger and they demolished with no problem apparently it was very tasty. The staff were young, friendly and knowledgable about the produce. Dogs welcome. Shame this pub is not on my home doorstep. Very fairly priced too. Well Done we will return one day.

Visited for evening meal and drinks. Lovely spot with extensive outdoors seating. The menu was extensive and the food was fantastic and with immense portions! We are troubled with various food allergies but the staff were extremely supportive and made sure that they could cater for us. The fish pie and the vegan falafels were fabulous. We were tremendously grateful to all the staff and chefs for making it a lovely evening out, and especially to our server, Tom, who was particularly helpful and friendly.

This is a really nice pub conveniently situated next to Blickling Estate. We were visiting there and decided to have a break for lunch before going in the hall. Delicious food. Sat outside in the large garden. Plenty of seating outside. Inside was a maze of more seating. Nice beer and plenty of water for your dogs.

Visited this fabulous pub yet again whilst at Blickling Hall. This venue never fails to deliver. Beautiful food washed down with a pint from the excellent Lacon Brewery, served by friendly, knowledgeable staff. All set in a quintessential English country pub in stunning countryside. I'm lucky enough to live nearby so will continue to visit on a regular basis, Keep up the good work !

Beautiful location, delicious food and friendly staff. We stayed in room 4 which was a lot smaller than we'd expected from the photos on their website. Above the bar which could be quite noisy. Ok for a one night stay but would have preferred something bigger for a 4 night stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing food! We had the festive menu last week. It had a good variety and some interesting choices.Large portions, we were truly stuffed come the end of the meal especially as we didn't want to leave any.Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because of the table layup. A 3 course festive dinner and we have one set of cutlery on a napkin with a cheap cracker with a sticker inside. But otherwise couldn't fault, the service was also excellent. I would definitely recommend.
