My husband and myself visited today, we had a meal and a few drinks and it was excellent.When they found out it was my birthday today they delivered my desert on a board with happy Birthday written on in chocolate sauce which was very unexpected.We couldn't fault the service and everyone was extremely friendly.

Lovely local pub atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble. We were served by Claire who couldn't have been more helpful. Great service and lovely food, as always.

Always a good spread of guest ales, to compliment the expected range of lagers. The range of food is very respectable, and always cooked spot-on to order.Their care of the local communities in the recent COVID lockdowns sets them apart from most other establishments.

Went for Sunday Lunch, pub very busy so thought it should be good. £12.95 for roast beef which I enquired whether it was cooked pink, preferably abit rare. Was told this was the case, however it was cooked well done. Stingy portions of vegtables all over cooked and sloppy. Yorkshire pudding was OK. Not the culinary delight I looked forward to.

1st visit. Really good. Excellent menu and specials board brilliant. As for the food, lovely. Really busy on our visit so some thing's sold out. But that must be a good thing. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely friendly pub and has a really welcoming atmosphere. The place has character and hasn't been ruined by bland modern décor. There are several nooks and crannies where you can sit if you come as a group. We didn't eat there but the food looked nice. We played a gig there and the audience was very appreciative. I get the feeling this is a happening pub and worth a visit if you haven't been yet.

The Shoulder of Mutton is a very typical old country pub, good selection to choose from the menu all at reasonable prices. Food was served hot, not big portions but enough to make you feel comfortable. Would recommend.
