Great carvery, real carvery where you actually fill your own plate. Roast beef and all veg cooked to perfection. Prices are very good at under £8 a head. No real ales avalable but Guiness was fine.

A bit disappointing. My daughter chose the large carvery at £10.29 which included sausages. Unfortunately there were no sausages but the chef offered to bring them over once they were cooked. This didn't happen, so we had to leave the table and go back up and ask for them. They eventually arrived just as she had finished eating. The roast beef was inedible, very tough and fatty, so we took it home for the dog so it didn't go to waste.I chose the 'chippy plater' at £10.79 which again wasn't great. Supposed to come with extra chips, but looked like a normal smallish portion of the basic frozen catering variety. The peas were the same, obviously from a cheap basic buy frozen packet, and they arrived cold on the plate. The battered fish was ok, and the sausage nice enough. The extra rounds of bread and butter that was promised never appeared, instead I was given one slice of cheap white bread and a one small butter portion. The drinks we ordered were 1 soda water and 1 Pepsi which were both on tap behind the bar. For some reason they cost over £4.50So, all in all not a great experience. Things could be improved enormously for very little effort and cost. Don't buy cheap catering pack peas and chips. For a few pence more get something better, or even invest in a commercial chipper and make fresh chips. Likewise with the meat, a few pence more and you can get better quality which customers will return for. Have the sausages ready, and don't forget to serve them, nothing annoys diners more than having to badger the chef for their food.

We had a large of 21 of us for a meal and drinks for a birthday celebration, the food was lovely, hot and all came at the same time, which we didn't expect as it was a large order.Special thanks to Emily who was amazing, really helpful and lovely. The 2 young men who served us were also very polite and helpful.Had a lovely meal and enjoyed ourselves.

My husband and myself spend every Christmas Day here. The carvery is lovely and their Christmas Dinner is very good value. Lovely views over the river too!

Arrived at 5.45pm and paid for a carvery. Wish I had checked it first. The gammon and beef had clearly been under the warmer since lunchtime, as had most of the veg. The mash potato was yellow and crusty and had an unidentifiable taste that did not resemble potato in any of its forms. The cabbage was also disgusting, so you can only imagine what the ‘colcannon’ tasted like. To balance this otherwise awful meal, the turkey was good, as were the (bought ready) Yorkshire puds. The roast potatoes, although dried out under the lights were edible. On the whole, having been here many times over the last 10-12 years, through 2 refits, I can honestly say this was my last visit, I won’t bother again.

Carvery was well looked after and service was fine...but had to wait well over an hour for 2pizzas , but was only warned it was a 10 Minute wait. We received an apology but I think for such a long wait it needed to either be explained at ordering or offered some sort of discount

Great place for carvery and the pizza was also good! Perfect for family lunches after a day out in Thorpe St Andrew. Good service and plenty of space both indoors and outside.

Carvery was poor. Old food from lunch sat out at peak time. No roast potatoes. Sausages looked like they had been there since breakfast and kept warm. Would not recommend

Went for a impromptu meal as a family of 5. Decided had a good kids and adults menu, plus it's got great views over the river in Norwich. Not been before and I have to say, just seemed like your standard family restaurant, but it was great. They have a very good selection of really good quality branded wine and beers and the wine glasses were really lovely too!Kids had pizza which was really tasty, best my son had had apparently and he's a wood fired pizza fan! Mum and I had carvery, I thought would be cheap but honestly it's was the best meat I'd had in ages melted in the mouth and the veg was amazing. Such a good selection, really was impressed. The man in charge seemed to do a lot of the work and he was excellent. Asked if food was good checked in on us and was very polite and efficient. It's well run from what I experienced and I can recommend!
