The Willows Cafe Bistro in Broadland

Very popular little cafe, we were lucky to get a table. I would advise to pre-book.Home cooked food and lovely cakes.Will visit again.

had a willow burger. was not expecting much for a £10. but it was fantastic. double stack two rashes of bacon, dill and tomato and cheese, onion rings and a basket of chips. really good quality.

Good little place for a quick lunch at a reasonable price.Oddly the Coke arrived in a glass and not in a can or other pre packaged tin/bottle. Found that odd.I’d reckoned the sandwiches and wraps.

Very friendly staff, food was quickly served and tasty. Would definitely recommend the Willows burger!

I have been told by several people that this was a rather nice place to have something light to eat, we were in the area looking for lunch. We walked in and we told that we couldn't order anything off the menu apart from drink as the have started a new Sunday roast menu starting from 12:30, and it was 12. We were seated upstairs were the play room was, basically 2 boxes of kids toys and a stair gate over the door, other people where seated in the same area within children when there was other seating available.It was a struggle to get them to make 1 piece of toast, for the toddler that was with us. We ordered 2 coffees a sausage roll and salad that was from the cold counter. No cutlery was given, or offered.The floor was dirty with food from previous customers.Customer service was pretty poor, the selection of cakes was also pretty poor, they looked bought in rather than made in house.The coffee wasn't presented very well, neither was the sausage roll.There is a small area outside next to a busy road to sit.Over all disappointed I expect far better.

Nice and clean. Food was lovely and nice and hot. Reasonably priced as well. Had it been nearer lunchtime I would definitely had a slice of cake, as they looked immense. Next time maybe

Absolutely appalling staff. Our server Sarah seemed like she didn't want to be there at all. She rolled her eyes when we made an order and our drinks and food were slammed on our table. We then waited over 20 minutes for a dessert menu but we decided to leave due to our server being more concerned on closing the shop than serving customers. When going to pay the bill, we were treated with such an appalling attitude. Shame the staff don't seem interested as the food was lovely. :(

I requested a takeaway afternoon tea for a friend's birthday celebration. I needed one standard and one gluten-free. The teas were packed separately, no chance of cross-contamination. The food was of a very good quality, sandwiches and savoury pastries as well as scone and a selection of cakes. The gluten-free sandwiches and cakes were excellent.Highly recommended.

Nice cafe. Staff were very friendly and helpful.When I visited just after 2pm, there was an extremely limited selection of cakes.... Based on previous reply from owner I guess this is partly related to the impact of covid on trade. Also this was an hour before they were due to close (3pm).The biscoff cheesecake and americano I had were both excellent.Sign on door said booking was advised, but I was able to get a table without a booking.

A fantastic hidden gem of Norwich open 7 days a week.My personal experience is of warmth smiling faces and only one error.Within 2 minutes of stepping into the cafe I was seated and had a menu in front of me. The waitress on front seemed genuine and smiling bearing in mind there was only 2 members of staff serving and 3 in the back ( as can be seen by pictures ).I wasn’t in a rush and within 10 minutes my order was taken. All food is sourced locally and cooked to order. I had the 7 piece brunch with toast and free refill filter coffee. I had to admit I couldn’t eat it all. When it turned up I thought “is that it” but half wY through I just couldn’t eat it all unfortunately but it did taste nice. There was one error made which I didn’t complain about as they where busy and that was I asked for a poached egg and received a fried egg ( mistakes happen ) .One thing I noticed is that even though the staff where wearing a uniform they wasn’t wearing name badges so I can’t comment about a particular member of staff.Whilst I sat here and enjoyed my brunch I noticed a high turn over of customers which shows Gracie’s has a good reputation.The table I sat at I wouldn’t recommend as it was right opposite the kitchen and all I could see and hear was the kitchen porter washing up and a pile of continuous dirty plates however there is loads of other tables available ( when empty ).The car park is limited in space ( around 10 cars ) but there is plenty of local parking across the road and near Barclays Bank .The only reason I gave this review a 4 and not a 5 star was because of the egg issue which in theory changed my order and showed they wasn’t listening to my request 100% when taking my order and communication is lacking somewhere between front of house and the kitchen, otherwise I would have no hesitation in recommending this site for afternoon tea and brunches for future events.
