Smokeshed Bar & Grill in Broxbourne

Had a great lunch. Excellent service. Ribs, burnt ends, pit beans, onion rings and slaw, with coffee and a coke, all spot on. Strong recommendation. £41, plus the tip.

Wow!!! Just wow!!!!!The food was absolutely incredible. We've been to a few smoke houses over the years and this by far the best. The staff were really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The manager tonight was lovely and so friendly. Amazing!

We walked into a lively atmosphere and loud familiar rock music that reminded me of the Tony Hawks game and American Pie films. After we eventually got our drinks (the lychee cocktail is good), we ordered our food with help from friendly staff.Unfortunately, the food took a long time and when it arrived, half of the platter wasn’t hot. Fortunately, the waitress and chef agreed with us and we were given another platter of steaming hot tasty barbecued meats. Everything was delicious. The pork balls and beans were awesome and the onion rings were a stand out. Massive and crunchy. The ribs, brisket, sausage and pulled pork was flavoursome and cooked well. Others in our group ordered chicken wraps, wings and various other items and enjoyed them all.With no space left for deserts, we left satisfied and stuffed. Big up the waiters and waitresses as they were attentive and happy. Props to the chef.

What a place! Sensational food, amazing friendly service and made a fuss of our dog Jax in the covered and heated garden/terrace. Don’t hold back, come and have some fun and eat amazing food. We had the Meat Riot Board and everything on it was amazing. Favourite though was the Brisket… words don’t even cover it! Bo’ok now!

Great place with good food. The portions were generiouse we had the meat sharing platter and there was plenty there. Dark haired waitress was lovely and will defo go back

A decent BBQ place worth a visit.Went there for a birthday meal for my wife and had booked originally for 7 but ended up with 9 (did call to extend and was advised of a £10pp deposit for bookings over 8, but was driving at the time and forgot to call back).After initially struggling to fit my party the staff did indeed accommodate us comfortably.We sat at 7pm, ordered drinks and then food shortly after. The drink took a while (longer than I expected) to come and the food was even longer. In fact noticeably longer to the point where we had queried as other tables seated after had received before us. For context it was fairly busy not I wouldn't say rushed.We had a baby with us also and requested a high chair twice but never received it, but staff apologised when they realised but by then the baby was tired and wouldn't have used it.When the food came it looked and tasted very nice, however it was very disappointing to find a fair amount was either luke warm or cold. We did have to wait some time for cutlery after the food was delivered also which didn't help.We expressed our disappointment to the staff and they were amazing and replaced everything within 5 mins (rather than reheat - although we did query why this was so quick Vs the initial wait - it was chalked up to being less busy). We were very impressed with how this was handled.Overall I'd recommend the restaurant and eat there again based on the Meat Riot we had. And would attribute some of the failings on the night to possible one offs. But quickly resolved by friendly staff.Upon visiting again I'd hope to see improvements to food/drink wait times, which would probably address some of the issues we experienced. Also I never got to try the dessert as I was too full.Thanks Smoke shed see you soon

Absolutely amazing food, atmosphere, and staff. Highly recommend for anyone wanting good American style barbecue.

Best ribs I've ever had, the biggest I've had for the price. £14 for a full rack. I had the loaded chips with pulled pork to start sadly no picture, but believe me, it was tasty. Highly recommended.

No words to describe this place.Amazing, wonderful i don’t care where you live, come here.All the food was melt in your mouthAnd the rest well thats their story to tell.Wonderful service from the team especially caitlyn she represents the company very well and the owners are lucky to have her caitlyn is upbeat, promotional and loves her job.Great atmosphere the decor matches the food, i saw on a previous review they called it stripped back. Where some may not like the rustic feel, i feel it adds the right character to the place.I have nothing bad to say as from entry to exit myself and family had a wonderful experience and food is what bring people together.Off the beaten track and possibly overlooked as its on a side road, but its worth a try and very well priced.Thank you for having us today, we will see you again soon.

If you live within 500 miles of Smokeshed, you don't have any excuse for not eating here. It's really that good.UPDATE: Took my brother and cousin for a meal last night and they loved it, they didn't quite travel 500 miles, but I'm sure they would have. One of them even tried the Hot wing challenge (he did it, but it was a close thing)
