The Star in Broxbourne

It's fine, I haven't tried the food but the bar service is good and it's a lovely old coaching inn that dates from 1530.

I was there yesterday for lunch and maybe Monday is a bad day to go, but there were a few things off the menu including tuna.

A typical Wetherspoon, the bar is a way back and the toilets are worth a visit, beamed ceilings, gorgeous!Quick service and polite, pleasent staff.

Big let down..steak had to be sent back twice. I ordered my steak medium , the first steak was rare. The second steak had blood pooling on the top of it . I know it was busy in there but surely chef knows his/ her medium from rare . I couldn't wait any longer as my husband had finnished his meal. So no ..not happy at all.

The staff were polite but didn't smile, my husband's meal wasn't very hot. Usually it is very good here, but for some reason we were very happy to leave this visit

I'm giving this pub four stars . It's like any other spoons. But middle of hoddisdon looks nice from the outside and modern . I think it's good vibes with lots young people I think it's one of the go to pubs

Stunning building with Tudoe frescoes on the walls and most stunning toiletts! Museum like experience for a usual great price of Weathwrapoons deal.

Love the tea and toast here from the breakfast menu, although you do need to ask for more butter all the time because them tiny little butter portions you get in them little plastic containers are never enough, some times i really go wild and get and orange juice and lemonade and qith a fresh slice of orange 🍊 thrown in the glass as well its proper refreshing.

Lovely pub, easy to get served and huge. Very nice time in there. Wetherspoons so reasonable prices. The only problem was the male servers were abrupt and each time I dealt with one I was left a bit angry. All the ladies were happy, polite and friendly.
