Friendly staff, lovely decor, but their portions need to increase. Only 5 pieces of chicken.

Just recently got a chance to visit Zara with my son. We both agreed that the food was very tasty and reasonably priced (although portions were surprisingly quite large!), friendly and professional staff so definitely I'd recommend this restaurant and we'll be coming there again 🤤

Fantastic, beautiful meal. All good came up sizzling hot. Lovely Chicken Madras Tandoori Mixed Grill' chilli Nd garlic naan and crushed bombay allo. Amazing flavours all dished were served up hot on a variety of muti coloured plateware. Absolutely superb! Thank you and look forward to seeing you again. 😄

Looks great on the inside but the service wasn’t anything too special, compared to where we have been. You do feel a bit like a number when you’re in there. We were there for a special occasion and booked beforehand bur they didn’t want us to have the nicer seats in the restaurant and it was a struggle to argue with them as they said the nice ones were Booked. Turns out the whole time that wasn’t true and when we left, all the front tables were completely empty still. We also found it a bit overpriced with very small dishes. It’s also not an authentic Indian restaurant which is a bit of a shame.

We had another excellent night at Zara tonight with our friends. Food was delicious and the place has a fantastic ambience. Saturday nights are busy, but they try their very best and the food is certainly worth waiting for. We won't go anywhere else. Oh and don't forget the Gin. Thank you all at Zaras for making our night special again.

Fantastic eat in meal and the best Tandoori King Prawn Masala I've had outside Birmingham. A good atmosphere and we were served quickly and efficiently by their friendly staff. Not cheap but good value for the quality delivered, I'll be back!

Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. The decor downstairs is cozy and chic, whilst upstairs feels more like a restaurant. The gin garden is small but perfect, you do t really notice your on a main road.Food was of a good quality, and tasty.Highlight for me though was the huge variety of gin, around 150. All drinks were beautifully presented.

Lovely little stumble upon.Has its own parking, which was handy. Gorgeous interior with a warm, homely feeling.Staff were very friendly and had a bit of a giggle with us. A little bit pushy with the Gin but they are a Gin bar as well, so it figures. The food was delicious, with sensible portions. Perhaps a little hefty in price for what you get but it depends if you want to walk out feeling satisfied (which we did) or walk out feeling like you've eaten enough for 3, destined to regret it until your next pig out (which is what we usually do).The gin choices are extensive. I chose one that may have been a little too strong. They didn't ask if I wanted a single or a double, so I have no idea what I got. Based on the price, I'm going to say a double. They're happy to box and bag up anything you don't eat, which was a bonus. I had cold rice for breakfast the next day.I'm giving it 4 stars because, even though I thought it was a beautiful little place with great food, I have been in better/cheaper. Still worth a meal out if you're looking to go there!

Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere. Two of us shared one rice which was more than plenty, and the waiter asked if we were sharing our mains dishes, which we were -then added a bit more lamb to one of the dishes. We were stuffed when we were done.Sad that my boyfriend hates when I ask for a doggy bag. I spared him the embarrassment this time.Gin bar has a VERY big selection and so yummy.Staff was very friendly, absolutely charming and attentive.I think we were leaving just as ppl were arriving because it took quite a while to get our check, and the staff were focused on bringing ppl dinner. I guess we were too good looking to let go.10/10 we'll be back... with my doggy bag!!.(Have to laugh at one star review guy, who mistook this place for another - but still maintains the one star review after wife told him they went to another place)

Really enjoyable!I visited Zara for the first time with a friend the other week. I had been to every Bishops Stortford curry house other than Zara, and I couldn't believe what I was missing out on! Customer service was fantastic, food was delicious, and the menu had some really interesting and different options. Lastly, Zara has a really large Gin bar with some amazing cocktails. This restaurant would make a fantastic venue for a special occasion. I really felt it offered an experience different to all of the other local curry venues.
