It's a Spoon's, quick convenient, competitively priced and you know what you are getting for your money. Great venue in the old Regal and fast table service, but I do wish they didn't serve the bottled ales cold.

A magical place where motion pictures "taste" better than anywhere else! This was my review from years ago. It was a fibe-star review. However, I must say that since the Picturehouse was bought by the big franchise, things have been going downhill a bit, especially in the bar area. There is no chef there anymore, no proper kitchen staff and it's the bar staff who prepare "meals" wchich shouldn't technically be even called meals. It's very sad because it used to be a place where I'd enjoy a lovely vegetarian hot dog or a tasty soup before or after a good movie. A real shame...

Really a lovely place. Yes seats are a squeeze but the experience is great. And independent! Let’s support them. So not 5 stars because you really can make better cheese and tomato toasties. Ordered one and it came with basic white bread, cheese…considering the market, I would offer a choice of sourdough, really cheesy and tomatoes toasties rather than a sandwich they would give at primary school. I know it’s only £4.50 but happy to pay more for a better for experience. You can definitely do better. But will not stop me from going back but might bring more people in to the cafe to just eat ! Cheers. Samira

Narrow and uncomfortable seats from the multiplex era, no bottle holder, not reclining and not a lot of personal space. Every time the door opened the light would shine on the screen. Stains on the screen showing up in every bright scene.

Clean and safe environment. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere to enjoy the film.

fine, except seating policy didn't seem too covid sensible ie all together and relaxed view on mask wearing

Love this place. Great choice of food and drinks to accompany the movies. In 22 years I've never had to moan at anyone for talking or using the phone. A better class of movie goer. And being a member is recommended.

We are so lucky to have this Arts cinema in the city centre showing an eclectic selection of films. I appreciate using my Silver Screen membership to see films at reasonable prices too. Also it's a great place to meet friends for drinks or lunch in the cafe/bar.

Comfy'ish fleece lined chairs and decent mid sized screens but this cinema is a little dated now and the leg room is a little cramped if you're over 6 foot tall. However it has character in spades and has a very welcoming atmosphere that you won't find in the larger more corporate multiplexes.Photos are from our attendance of the recent screening and Q&A with the director and writers of 'Rocks', the opening movie of Cambridge Film Festival 2019.This cinema is the perfect venue for such screenings providing a good platform for the movie and comfortable, intimate surroundings for the discussion.Recommend.
