Bella Italia Cambridge Leisure Park in Cambridge

The worst experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant in my life. The service was absolutely awful, waited at least 15 minutes before we were asked about drinks and about another 15 minutes before they were then served. (Our drinks ended up coming at the same time as our main). When our drinks came we were served the wrong thing. Waitress asked if we wanted dessert then never came back to us for 20 minutes or more (then still hadn’t bought out menus). An hour had gone by and we had only had 1 course and still hadn’t ordered dessert. By this point the restaurant was nearly empty which made the poor service even more shocking and inexcusable. The portion size of our mains was particularly small. The staff were incredibly unprofessional spending the majority of the time chatting to each other and doing things like deeply inspecting each others mouths/teeth in the middle of the restaurant. The bill was handed to us the second we finished our desserts and without being asked which is very poor etiquette. On top of all this, we received an email telling us our reservation was cancelled when it actually hadn’t been and the vibes / decoration of the place is awful, nothing like the romantic setting of an Italian restaurant that you would expect and that I have seen in other Bella Italias. Never left a review before but felt compelled to as this experience was so incredibly bad. We made a lot of effort to make it to this meal which was also a birthday celebration and it was such a waste of time and effort.

Food was okay but not as good as few years ago. Make sure to check your bill before you pay.. we got charged for drinks we ordered that never arrived (not surprising as we got served by four different staff) so had to get a refund. Getting anyone's attention to get the drinks in the first place was also quite difficult despite not many people being at the restaurant.

Thank you Alice at Bella Italia, Leisure Centre, Cambridge - you looked after our Christmas party of 7 13 December beautifully. The excellent service aside, the food was up to the usual Bella Italia standard and the nice variety on the Christmas menu meant everyone was happy. Very good value and a relaxing atmosphere.

After long drive with the boys we stopped by this beautiful venue of Bella Italia and i must say we had such a warm welcome. The food and service were incredibly spot on. Ive asked the big blond guy what pasta should recommend me and he said Gamberoni pasta , absolutely delicious! Definitely will come back again.

Excellent service. Dominico and Anya really did great tonight and made our evening special. Great food and awesome atmosphere.

I and my family enjoyed the meal here, specially my little daughter. She liked the pasta tubes, the garlic bread and the strawberry ice. When she waiting for the food. She enjoyed coloring which provided by the restaurant. I really appreciated Anya, one of the waitress. She's nice and friendly. We had good time and delicious dinner on that day.

We chose Bella Italia as my wife has intolerances and our 3 year old daughter loves pasta. After a good experience at one in Edinburgh, we decided it was a good option.We had to wait to be seated and the waitress waved over to say she would be with us in a moment. Which I think is great service, a small gesture of acknowledgment goes a long way.The food and service were good. The waitresses who dealt with us were all extremely friendly.Only 4 stars and not 5 as we were sat very close to another table (almost too close). We also had to ask a couple of times for an additional plate. Nothing major and would definitely return.

The service of this Bella Italia location is not as good compared to others. The area where it is located is quite nice but we had to wait for the waitress at the beginning and they ran out of house wine, rose and other products. The flavour was fine and in general it was good but to outstanding. The kids menu was nice and it offers multiple options to choose from. My kids really enjoyed the colouring challenge.

Upon entering we were almost immediately attended to and taken to our booked table, which was more than enough for our party size. Within minutes we had our menus and had time to decide what we wanted.The setting was pleasant and seating and tables arranged accordingly for social distancing between customer parties. After a few minutes we had drinks ordered and was able to immediately order food once our drinks had arrived after a few minutes.Our waitress recommended we order 4 starters between us and share for reasonable amount of food.Our starters were well presented and didn't take too long to arrive. Not long behind our mains arrived, which were all to a great standard and offered a healthier but decent portion size for the cost.On ordering desserts we were made aware of any sold out items and was offered being allowed to order any dessert from the menu to replace the lack of choice on the set menu that some of us had ordered. I felt appreciated that she gave us a wider choice due to lack of desserts available on the set menu making the experience worth the money.Our desserts arrived hot and well presented and done to a great standard. We were all happy with our desserts and overall dining experience was worth the cost and time spent.Defiantly recommend to anyone looking for a great time for a reasonable priced menu that has vegan and healthy options and presented to a great standard. As well as very kind and understanding staff.
