Clean. Good ambience. Childrens choices disappointing. Our order was misheard but the mistake was rectified. Toilets are down a flight of stairs but there is a disabled loo in the main restaurant. Food was okay but ive eaten in better food in restaurants of this type.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Awful experience. 1 hour wait and still drinks order wrong. No starters. Both tables either side of us had food and drinks a lot sooner than we did and were seated at least 30 minutes after us. No apology, no offer to resolve, no excuse. Would never go back. An hour sat there hungry and parched. Left before any food arrived so can’t comment on the food.

I’ve walked past this restaurant so many times but never popped in for a meal. Finally had to visit. They do so many things so well here. The ambience, the lighting, the spacing between the tables, the cleanliness the decor and then the glorious food. And how glorious it is! Just have a look at the photos and be envious, very envious. The only thing that needs some attention (and not just this restaurant) is that it’s obvious they need more staff - both front and back of house. It did take quite a while for my seafood pasta to arrive and the restaurant wasn’t that busy but to be fair, I was told when being shown to my seat that food would take around 30 minutes.

Nice breakfast but the kitchen starts at 10 which is a bit too late for breakfast.

Go to the cheap cheerful greasy spoon cafe up the road....Love Carluccios normally, shame there isn't that many around anymore. Was pleased to find this one after a night in Cambridge as their breakfasts are very nice. Coffee and service was great however, my wife's veggie breakfast which she was hankering for and waited 25mins for, came out luke warm and the tomato and courgette were fridge cold. She had a little bit of it but the cold food was unejoyable and she left most of it being very annoyed. We told the waitress and manager. Thinking they wouldn't charge or give us our 2nd coffees for free along with the pastry we also bought, as we'd also waited nearly half hour after ordering... they took a mere 20% off an expensive £35 breakfast! Very poor good and complaints management. I wouldn't have come on here if they'd sorted us out. My advice is sack the chef, who doesn't know how too time food or use a hotplate and learn how to handle genuinely rubbish food service and complaints.

My pasta, which was apparently their signature dish, came out over cooked, cold, with water and shredded zucchini on top. I was genuinely shocked. The woman next to me ended up returning her pasta because it was so dry. Genuinely, just how?

Both my wife and I got bad food poisoning after eating what we think were old mussels in one of the dishes. The service was also not great and slow. We went in and the restaurant was mostly empty but were told they had no spare tables. We quickly booked a table online and came back in and got seated, very reluctantly. One of the starters was amazing but the rest of the food wasn't too great

Poor customer service on Monday late afternoon. Arrived at 5.30 and told they shut at 6 so we would have to order food before then. Fair enough. We Ordered our starters and main courses around 5.45. Main course came at 5.55pm, no sign of starters. Waiter offered to go and cook them, we said it's too late, as mains have arrived, so we will have a pudding instead. Female manager came out and said very brusquely we could have no pudding because it was too late and she'd warned us we had to order before 6. No apology. The waiter must have then explained to her what happened with the starters and she came back and brought some plain bread and olives. (On the way out we saw there were cakes and meringues still on display ). Mains were average, my carbonara was congealed and tasteless, didn't look fresh at all. Only good point was the male waiter who was friendly & apologetic. I doubt I will return here. Sorry

Food felt like it’s from supermarket’s ready meals.I wasn’t happy with the juices either, they were watery.Staff were friendly, however getting their attention wasn’t an easy task.Do not recommend it for food. Prices didn’t match the delivery.Atmosphere was nice with good music playing. Maybe it’s just good enough for afternoon coffee.

Breakfast! Always a lovely experience at Carluccios in Cambridge. The staff are always so friendly, helpful & efficient and the breakfast food is always tasty. Here I had the toast basket, which comes with butter & cherry jam, and a side of sautéed mushrooms all washed down with green tea. All in all a lovely way to start a days shopping in Cambridge.
