It has been several years since we had a Sunday roast in the Castle Inn. It is still great!Bonus points for roasted parsnip, very tender pot roasted Beef Brisket and a lovely rich gravy. Belly filling amount of roast potatoes. A proper British roast. Too many pubs employ chefs who have never sat down to a proper roast.Minus point for the real ale. The young girl hasn't been taught to serve real ale. It's a pulled pint which requires a good bit of muscle. It's not a pint of self pouring carbonated Stella! So the Broadside was a little flat and lacked freshness...a dead pint unfortunately.Lovely pub, one of the best in Cambridge with friendly, accommodating and thoughtful bar staff.

Lovely little pub with a great selection of Adnams beers. The Sunday Lunch is 8.50 which makes it the only bargain in the whole of Cambridge

Great beer. Friendly staff. Decent food, and reasonably priced!

Very nice welcoming pub with friendly and efficient staff, separate rooms and a beer garden. Good, inexpensive food choices and a tasty choice of inexpensive wine. Most important of all, they welcome dogs, inside and out, so you can enjoy your tasty food with your furry friend next to you.Not too far out of the city centre but far enough to avoid the tourist crowds in the summer.Totally recommend a visit.

Decent quality food at reasonable prices. Just a shame the selection of draft beers was a bit limited. Quiet traditional atmosphere

Shocking service. Booked a lunch as a special treat to meet my two daughters who were travelling in from a distance to have lunch together. When we arrived today, the pub was closed. We had no message to let us know (they took our phone number when we booked).

Friday night and meeting up with friends who we hadn't seen in years with three kids in tow. Restaurant we had planned to go to turned us down, called and they'd got us a space within 10 mins.Food was hearty if a tiny bit slower than expected (/we were hangry), but the young lady who seemed to be running the shift was great, as well as her very kindly but slightly bewildered assistant.Beer having not had Adnams on draft for years always welcome. Only ask is to stock pork scratchings. Though beggars and choosers and all that...

Thank you so much to the amazing staff on Saturday night. We had a large group booking and there were some unforeseen circumstances which they handled really well. The food was tasty and we had a really good evening. Thanks again.

Lovely pub with lots of different rooms. Great gin selection as well as beers and spirits. Fantastic food menu with so much to choose from? Definitely something for everyone and the food is delicious! Great for a group of friends as well as smaller groups or families. I'd definitely recommend this pub and would visit again.
