Corner House Pub in Cambridge

After having a discussion earlier on in the evening with regards to good Customer Service within the UK being a thing of the past, this Pub restored my belief that it is still possible. From the moment we entered we were made to feel welcome. We were greeted by friendly young bar staff who were very pleasant and polite, we were given the option to have a table for food and drinks or just to have drinks and relax. After experiencing inedible food in the premier inn opposite, this place really delivered. We may have just had pizza and some side orders, but it was fresh, plentiful and very tasty. But overall it certainly was the staff that need crediting, and a shout out to Jo (landlady) who clearly knows how to treat her staff and customers alike. Thank you for a very pleasant visit.

Excellent pub meals! Value for money if you look for your red meat treat. I recommend the gammon, I found well copied and substantial. I looked at the stake served, excellent too. Good wine list. Highly recommend for travellers and holiday visitors.

Great food and very friendly service. We had the delicious beef and ale pies and the Parisian burger. Thoroughly recommended. Also very very dog friendly. You should give it a try. We've been 3 times now over the past 2 yrs and it's been wonderful every time.

What a fantastic place to drink and eat. Spent the day here drinking and eating on a visit to Cambridge. My Wife and I were warmly welcomed by the owner/landlady Jo. She plied us with a huge selection of Gins. Lovely seating/garden area. Great music in the evenings. Right opposite the Premier Inn so an easy stagger home. We will definetly visit again.

Not bad, good value food by Cambridge standards, beer prices about average. Food (roast) was pleasant if unexceptional. Nice staff, not too busy when we went, just right . Had a makeover 2 yrs ago so still looks good inside. Would recommend.

Food was reasonably yummy (had the best chicken pie I've had in Cambridge, although mashed potato was too much and lacked flavour - that's me being fussy!)The other dishes on the menu looked extremely tempted. Very nice menu. Prices were reasonable too. I will be back to sample more!

Great beer and food! I’m staying at the Premier Inn over the road and didn’t fancy their Thyme restaurant so tried this pub. Ate there both nights, first night had the double stack burger which was awesome. Second night had the Beef Goulash which was equally as good. Both with a Greene King IPA, top beer. Both nights, food came quickly and served with a smile. Would recommend.

Excellent pub! Has so many seatings indoors and outdoors and nice/friendly staff. On top of that, the food there is great. One thing that was missing outside was heating which would have been a great addition

So walked up and couldn’t find a way in as both doors were locked (at 8PM??). Had a reservation and had to call for them to unlock the door. Was then left standing around waiting to be seated for about 5 mins. Partner didn’t get her drink for a while after ordering, waitress then came back and had clearly forgotten. Food was good! Skinny chips were nice and crispy, burger was tasty and very nicely sized portions. Drinks and cocktails were nice. Good for food and drinks but don’t expect great service.
