De Luca Cucina & Bar in Cambridge

Went there to enjoy a meal for one. For a restaurant the menu is very small (minimal options to choose from) it’s only an A4 sheet size with half filled pizza selections at the back. The scenery of the place has a nice glass ceiling you can look through but the paintings were very small and basic.The music was just plain pop music, I was hoping more Italian vibes or classical for an Italian restaurant but I was wrong.The starter was ok, the cocktail was nothing but a red coloured gin and the main meal which was the seafood mixture with pasta was not impressive for the price it was asking. Very pricey place for little value you end up getting.Staff were nice and friendly but I wouldn’t come here again, sorry.

A lovely bar/bistro with great food and super cocktails. Pizza's were amazing, as we're the other mains on offer. Staff super friendly. Heartily recommended 😊

Slow service and average food, other than the fish was cooked well. The set menu we were told to abide by was very limited. Would not recommend.

Went just before Christmas. Had a lovely meal. Couldn't fault the food, wine or staff. Unfortunate that others stayed away so atmosphere not great and piano bar not open. Can't wait to go back when normality returns.

I have always enjoyed my meals at De Luca over many years. I had not visited for a while but it was as good as ever. I had an excellent soup to start, my partner the super squid with chilli jam. We both chose the chicken stuffed with cheese, with cream and thyme sauce - delicious, the sauce a star. Cheesecake for dessert was light as a feather but rich and perfect to end. A special credit to all the team, service was slick and friendly. The chefs in the small open kitchen were working incredibly hard too. Thanks for a great evening.

My partner and I had a table booked here for Sunday evening to celebrate her Birthday. It was after a bit of research I read very good reviews about the restaurant.Upon arrival and then sat at our table, we were told there was no spaghetti bolognaise (which was a shame as it’s my favourite). I looked at the rest of the menu to see it was a lot more slimmed down than what I had seen online. I questioned this with the waitress who said they were closing the following day for a week and with only two chefs in, they could only offer a reduced menu. It would have been nice to have been told this during my initial booking.Due to personal reasons, I didn’t end up eating but my partner did and enjoyed her main course (linguine) more than her starter (squid).I’m sure with a full menu on offer and for us both to eat, it would have been a lovely evening at a small and cozy family run restaurant.

When I came here, I was a little disappointed to find they weren't doing pizzas at the time. If you don't include those, there aren't all that many vegetarian options available here.It also wasn't super clear when they did offer it.The risotto I was able to have however, was perfectly serviceable and the desert was quite nice.

THE BEST Italian restaurant in Cambridge. Do not go anywhere else. This is such a favourite of ours that we're there twice this month 😂Great food all prepared on site, great atmosphere, lovely cocktails and above all - fantastic customer service, the most important thing as far as I'm concerned. Seriously recommend a visit, especially on a Saturday night when the pianist is playing.
