It is a very friendly and causey place, nice people, and the music band and live music was wonderful.

Excellent old school pub. Lovely and welcoming to a couple of strangers in need of an post loooong day pint. Would make a point to return when in the area. What pubs are meant to be like.

Excellent pub with live music from some very talented local musicians. Also a good selection of real ales that change frequently. friendly staff and management and a great atmosphere, what more can you want from a pub?!

Great little pub friendly staff and prices are reasonable

Visited the Earl one Thursday evening and was delighted to see an open mic live music was on, well controlled each artist had a two tune slot and it was a great night.Beer is good and a great atmosphere.Check the nights for the music sessions well worth a visit

A nice little pub with a couple of adorable dogs that our group had a hard time not taking home with us. A decent set of drinks and a nice atmosphere. The only issue is that the menu is only pizza. It is very nice and I enjoyed it immensely, but it would have been nice to have some more options available.

Really excellent local boozer. Good selection of real ales. Very good, helpful staff. Even the pizzas are good! The dog is just after food and doesn't do sociable even when food is about. Great place to have a drink and contemplate the meaning of life as long as you don't need a dog that likes you for who you are rather than the food you give them. Will come back again, but will have realistic expectations when it comes to dog affection.
