We recently had our baby shower here! We could not recommend it enough! The staff were SO accommodating with our booking. And the food they put on was very reasonably priced considering the quality and quantity (we had the mixed buffet menu). They even put labels on the veggie/vegan options. Everyone commented on the food and said it was delicious! They also loved the great selections of beers/wines/gins. 😀 oh and the view of Parker's Piece is amazing. Thanks for making a special day even more beautiful!

Decent pub eatery in Cambridge with a nice view of Parkers Piece. Great selection of beers and Gin. Usual Cambridge prices but at least you know before you go. Nice staff and tidy premises.

Drinks are a little bit pricey. The venue itself is quite cool and the food looked delicious.Plenty of space.Had sports and music on.Well worth a visit.

I may be a bit harsh but seems expensive for what is offered.Starting with the table layout:A group of 5 is not easy to sit.The staff didn’t seem wanting to be there at all.The meat in the burger was stupidly overcooked.. curious if it was in a microwave? No presentation at all.. forget that foil it just makes the bun soggy. The roast was pale, the meat again overcooked and the potatoes again, basically white. The veg were in a swimming pool. Great fun that is!Remember no colour no taste! 😊You wouldn’t eat a steak without that lovely crispy edge. Would you?I will give it another go and amend but…This is the first time I did not enjoy my food.I hope this comment will get attention from the staff in a constructive way. Not critical..I can see potential and I am so frustrated I had to leave a comment. The positive is that the place looks renovated and very attractive, the music is well balanced and atmospheric. The location also allow easy park with a beautiful view. Also looks fairly clean.Truly I would suggest to go and give it a try..Maybe that day they had problems..

It's an OK place to spend an evening but not a great selection of beer (rather than lager). Nice to see the upstairs open as always seemed to be closed. Friendly staff, food OK although minimal cheese in the cheese toasties.

Excellent spot to wile away a couple of hours of a Saturday afternoon. Nice beer range, although sadly no cask ale. All day food was great for grazing on. Nice warm atmosphere, good young staff and a background music play list for the ages. 21st century female vocalists. Cool and relaxing. Judging by the future events board (picture) this is a pub with a great story to tell.

We went to The Grain & Hop Store to watch the 6 Nations and it did not disappoint. We hadn't booked (mistake as their booking system is super easy as I have since found out for the next games!). However, the manager Emmy was great at managing the floor for the whole event. Lots of people who arrived without booking were then allocated no-show reservations as appropriate. The staff although a lot of them young handled the shift brilliantly. The layout of the pub was such that those that wanted to watch sport could and the upstairs was a sport free zone and it felt like it worked well for all customers.

Beautiful views out the window, location is great and this pub is Huge! Delicious menu, especially brunch, you have to try the Turkish eggs 😍 and the dirty burgers if you're extra hungry. Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options, huge selection of spirits, craft beer, non alcoholic options. My favourite pub in Cambridge, perfect for chilling, working and studying, live music and events, predrinks, date night, they've really got it all covered. Refurb looks amazing, downstairs is cosy, upstairs is bright and airy, and the addition of an extended heated and covered garden is the icing on the cake.

Booked the Hop and Grain for our Christmas party. It didn’t disappoint! Clean and airy with beautiful table laid for our party. Staff couldn’t do enough to accommodate and all friendly. Food was wonderful, tasty and huge portions. Everyone had a great time and booking was easy to do. Apologies I cannot remember all the staff names but you were all great! Would definitely return! Thanks!

We were lucky enough to have use of the top floor of the venue to host our annual parent Christmas Party. Every guest left impressed and satisfied with their experience. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The Manager, Emmy ensured that the evening ran smoothly leaving us to relax and enjoy their delicious food and drinks.
